ahh, Christmas, wether you believe or not, Christmas is a holiday that evokes love, the Promise, caring, family and awesome food, creative lighting and so on..haha anyways, than the beautiful holiday of Christmas leads to yet another great holiday!! New Years Eve!! Every year for some reason when that clock strikes midnight, I feel as though all of the bad from the previous year gets washed away and the promise of the New year comes blasting in. A new year to finally get things right, to fix problems, to love more, to get healthy, to maybe make more money, and to be a better person in this life!! The two Holidays together just renew and revitalize me for what is ahead in life! They are truely the best Holidays!! Then I would have to say the 4th of July for us Americans, because that is a day to reflect on this country as a whole, and to vow to do our part as citizens to live free and to fight for our God and Fore Father given rights!! The fireworks on this day are a good reminder of what "and the rockets red glare, the bomb bursting in air" really mean to us and our freedom!! We also have to keep in mind that when we fight for our freedoms, it is not for the world, but for our country!! Our concerns these days really need to start focusing more on what our country needs, not just what the world needs!

Not sure if you are asking for ideas for this coming Christmas, if so, there are a lot being advertised at the moment, in UK and on the European Continent - coaches to Spain, Austria, etc.
I could quite fancy a Cruise, but at an advanced age, I would prefer a ship without loads of children.
Had a lovely Christmas/New Year last year - visited friends in New Zealand. Flew Emirates to Oz and had a few days in Sydney to get over the worst of the jet lag, then flew to Christchurch where they took us for a tour of South Island. Flew back with them to their home just outside Auckland for Christmas and New Year - even went swimming in their pool on Christmas morning! By the time we arrived back in the UK it was obvious that the mornings and evenings were starting to get lighter.

I have spent the past three Christmas/New Year periods in Sharm el Sheikh in Egypt.
At that time of year the temperature is 26 degrees centigrade which is much better than what it is down there in the summer, ie. 45 degrees plus.
Not only is it absolutely heaving with Europeans trying to escape the winter cold thus making for a superb atmosphere, but there is also the tropical Red Sea with its coral reefs and dolphins to explore.
Absolute bliss and I can't wait to get back down there again this Christmas!

Sinai desert on the Red Sea Coast. Great because if you blink you'll miss the whole Christmas thing.

Every day should be Christmas. Forget gifts just the idea of family, friends songs and joy being together.

Well, if you live in the US, I'd say it's 4th of July; it's in the summer and you don't have to buy presents.
