My cat name is Mitchu. Puertoricans name their cat Mitchu all the time, is very common. It is my first time owning a cat, and that was the first name that came to my mind. My cat has give birth to 3 little tiny kitties and I haven't named them. It is really hard for me.

I used to live somewhere where there were a lot of immigrants and when I got a cat, the kids named him Dog until the neighbors were too confused then I renamed him Charlie.

I have two cats, and one dog. My older cat is named precious, we didn't name her that the previous owners did. But we liked it, and therefore kept it. My younger kittie is called Kitten, because she is a very small cat (fully grown too). And finally, my dog is named Sandy. We named her that because her hair is a similar color to the sand. And we saw that it just well....fit.
Usually when naming a pet you just go by what fits. Its weird but therefore true, almost like naming a new born baby.

Dog - Mischief. We got him from a home breeder. When we went there there were 6 or 7 puppies and almost that many little kids running around. The woman told us that the one we were getting was always getting into mischief. So when we left all the little kids said, "Goodbye Mischief" and it stuck.

Cat - Cupcake (that is her as my icon). My daughter named her cat after the cat in "Hey Arnold".

We have a gorgeous 2 year old cat called 'Meg'. We were thinking of 'Nutmeg' at first (she's a bunch of different colours, kind of spicy I guess!)... but Meg is very easy to call out! She's awesome! We were thinking of getting a boy cat at one stage and calling him 'Jack' so they'd be the same names as the guy and girl from 'The White Stripes'... but one cat is enough for now!

I give all my cats names of mythological Greek Gods or creatures. Fluffy or Snookums just isn't a name a guy is comfortable in saying!

We had a german shephard/rottweiler/pit bull mix. It was a girl, she looked like a badass, so my kids, who were 6 and 4 at the time, named her Oscar.

Then we had a girl cat and they named her Dexter, after Dexter Holland from the Offspring.

These are the names of the cats I have had throughout my life. Bouncer, Bobcat (MY son Bob got him for his birthday), Ozzy (for some reason he reminded us of Ozzy Osbourne) and Gyzmo ( He looked like a gremlin when we gave him a bath, my ex tried to name that on scrotum though)

Don't really remember on Billy, Socks is apparent. Thought Kita sounded good for a she wolf.
