becuase ted turner knew not nearly enough about the business and vince bought him out. He has a monopoly on the entire wrestling industry. he might have been the surrogate father of wrestling, but he killed what he created , i believe, by turning into "vinces wrestling" and not for the people.

Vince bought them out. WCW became to big of a company so Vince Bought them out. Before WWE went outta business. The thing is Vince will buy any wrestling organization who becomes to big. Because he has the money to throw away. And their is nothing any wrestling Organization can do about.

McMahon in his almighty wisdom bought WCW to stomp out the compitition
what i hated most was on the tuesday after the take over they closed nitro grill in vegas/ this was a really cool place to eat and great fun during ppv

They were losing money and ratings to the WWF. They were over paying their wrestlers and Ted Turner and his company decided to recoup any loses they would sell the rights to the WWE.
