Absolutely, but they have their work cut out for them. I don't see Milwaukee letting up anytime soon and they'll have to battle the Dodgers/Padres for the wild card spot. They absolutely cannot fall into a prolonged slump like they were in for most of the season. If they play up to potential the rest of the year, they definitely have a chance at the postseason because there are a lot of games left.

i might think of so, and whether they do they suck interior the playoffs. final time the Cubs went to the playoffs substitute into in 2008, under Lou Piniella. They gained their diversion for the 2d 365 days in a row, and lower back they have been out interior the 1st around actual swept out of the 1st around. Who do you want to be their real ace, Carlos Zambrano he's complete traded to the Miami Marlins it relatively is manged by his chum Ozzie Guillen, whom permit's see if he can actual administration Carlos Zambrano. Aramis Ramirez greater or much less deserved to pass, he did no longer want to sign a settlement that the Cubs presented, greater in all probability a 365 days deal, and lots money lesser then he had needed. So he's like those grasping gamers available. definitely i do no longer think of the Chicago Cubs are making plans to renounce Carlos Pena. I mean regardless of each thing they had in simple terms traded for a youthful first baseman it relatively is 22 years previous on the time being, that is going to start the 365 days interior the minor leagues, yet might desire to be up by the summer. And til that element I have not have been given any concept who they'll initiate till now each thing base, or what number diverse 1st basemen they'll use. yet i'm greater involved to seeing how long it is going to take till now the Cubs gamers provide up on their new manger.

Yes, but the need a veteran arm, 25 Milwaukee Brewer shirts, a move to Milwaukee, Milwaukee's stadium, and the players there as well. When have the Cubs ever had a chance?

He is but you have to consider the fact that most likely the only way the cubs are going to get in, is through the wild card or an amazing comeback. If they want to see the playoff glory then there going to have to want it.

no. the brewers have done a great job. the have the best pitching in the worst division in baseball. not that the cubs arent playing better, but it wont be enough at the end of the year. minus a freak accident.

I think that if they continue to play the way that they are, and the other divisions begin head to head series more often, the Cubs will at least make the wild card.

At this point, with a good second half, any central team (except maybe the reds) could win that division and make the playoffs.

Yes, they can get the wild-card; and if Milwaukee tanks, they can get the division, need to start winning.
