I think they are if they look at everything positive. Its like "OOOO Your going to fail the 11th grade at least you'll know the material better." or "well at least the terrorist killed themselves too." PPL like that are sooooooo anoying.

Not at all. We all have a choice in how we live our lives, and handle the obstacles that come our way. Having a positive outlook helps you get through the good and bad times without falling apart or going into a deep depression. I would much rather be around people with a positive attitude than those who are negative and see the bad in everything and everyone. People with a positive outlook live better quality of lives and usually live longer as well.

heh heh, i considered that question at one point of time before. But no, I believe that they are not stupid, just differing perspectives out of the many in this world.
Looking at others, its much better to face things off with a positive attitude cause things are going to happen ultimately and not much can be done outside human efforts to change the end results.
Going through difficulties with an open and positive mind of looking at it would make one stronger rather than you being negative and not do a single thing. When it happens, you sit there, pouting and say:" I KNEW IT! Its was going to happen anyway".
THAT would make you look stupid

Not stupid.....just annoying to us people that aren't of that frame of mind all the time.
I suffer from panic and anxiety disorder and tend to be a pessimist when it comes to things, plus (at work) I've been there almost 13 years (been there, done that, seen it before). I dont' want some little Miss/Mr Positive to come along and try and spoon feed me some line of crap from the higher ups or try and convince me that things have to get better, or I should just try to make the best of how they are!! Yeah, well revolutions weren't started by people making the best of what they had and waiting for it to get better.
Positive people annoy me because they always try to cheer me up or think everyone should be in a good mood. If I wanted to be cheered up, I would have woken up in a good mood.
No, they are not stupid......possibly self delusional at times, but not stupid.

Seriously, positive, negative. It's all just a perspective. To believe that one is inherently better than the other or could exist without the other is the really stupid view.
What if everyone was positive - who'd be negative then? Then, who would be positive?

Well if they are happy and negative people are not who has made the wiser decision? Yes it is a decision. You can choose to llok at either positive or nagative and it is that simple. Positive people tend to live longer fuller lives. You decide for your self.
