My goodness another anti-Italian rant... YAWN.

I recall posting about six or seven English web publications that stated flatly that Manchester United cheated last season. Does that mean that you only want to punish the Italian teams that cheat?

Yes, I think all bigots are inherently hypocrites. Like you.

By the way, you should get your facts right. The only club convicted of match-fixing in Serie A was Juventus. And the person above me apparently agrees with the punishment. Milan, Fiorentina and others were only guilty of inappropriate actions... having contact with line judges and so forth, not match fixing.

Oh wait, I'm sorry, that would entail actually READING something and discussing it intelligently. Look at who I expect higher brain function from... an omelet!

Sorry Fritata, I forgot about your LIMITATIONS...

@Fritata: I put it on another question about Milan supposedly cheating. I quoted and gave sources for six or seven on-line newspapers and forums that people complained about ManU cheating (I am not going to look everything up for you again... google 'Manchester United Cheater"). Strangely enough no ManU supporter had ANYTHING to say about it.

and incidentally, it's "you're" as in "you are". If you are attempting to insult me, please do it right. I merit a classy childish taunt.

I think when you talk to any Christian they will tell you that divorce and adultery are wrong. Adultery is never acceptable and you can't really compare it with gay marriage... That would be like saying how come we don't ban lying, murder, stealing, etc... all those are wrong but the government can't really control them. They can however control gay marriage because the government is the one who issues marriage licenses. In this respect gay marriage is somewhat like divorce, but there are some sharp contrasts between the two. As I stated earlier most Christians will tell you that divorce is wrong. However divorce is acceptable in an abusive relationship or one in which adultery has taken place. There is NO instance in the Bible or in Christian tradition in which homosexuality is condoned. This is what makes it a worse problem then divorce. Also one might keep in mind that in the Bible, Homosexuality is the only crime for which God completely destroyed an entire city. On a side note, I hear a few "Christians" say they are opposed to gay marriage but would allow civil unions. While I accept that people should be treated equally and fairly under the law, the problem with civil unions is that they would condone the practice of homosexuality; it rewards a group of people for committing a sin. @ Shaz > I applaud you for pointing out that hypocrisy is not a christian or a republican thing but then I'm afraid you loose it after that. And Christians don't hate homosexuals, or long for "a return to the day when you could go and beat down, maybe kill, a gay person in broad daylight and be regarded as an upright citizen. " Jesus taught us to hate the sin, not the sinner. And what we long for is a return to the day when homosexuality was culturally unacceptable, indecent, and immoral; not a thing to be praised. further more I would argue that there are valid secular (biological and historical) reasons for banning gay marriage but you have probably already heard them so I will spare you the time it would take for you to read them all. I almost agree with you when you say that government should not legislate morals, but probably not for the same reasons you do. The danger with legislating morals is that it would set a precident for others who would legislate anti-morals.

Well I really can't say that I agree with you on that. I'd like to say that a team that cheats should be relegated to a lower league but then that can effect the standing of that league and would change the results. It is effective though. I think they should be hit where it hurts the most. The team should be heavily fined and some other form of punishment should also implemented and enforced. I don't think it would be right to ban a team from playing for 2 years. They should be encouraged in some way to play fairly. Maybe the team could be suspended from playing in regular matches for several games forfeiting the ones they missed. I think that would be better than a two year suspension. A two year suspension is extreme and rather harsh in my opinion.

Does that include players who dive such as C Ronaldo or maybe players who punch the ball into the net ie Messi for Barce??? Or how about players who admit to trying to end another players career aka Roy Keane for Utd. Or maybe players that kung fu kick opposing fans... Cantona... who did he play for again, oh yeah Utd!!! Careful girl or you will reap what you sow!!

well you cant punish a club out of football for 2 years.they would be bank ruped and no players left in there squad because there not playing football for 2 years lol they would move on.Milan and other who is cheating would no longer be in part of football. sorry but i dont agree.

EDIT-yes i agree but not ur way becouse, there would be no clubs left to play football if they banned a club for 1 year or 2 years.and they would have to fic the fixtures and dates.and they dont want that.

Well done
Atleast someone other than me has brains
Cheats have to be punished, and why would i not agree with you
They should be fined, then banned, then when ban is over
They start in the lowest division of their country

not completely. i mostly agree with what italy did with juventus a little. but if it were in england, hell - i would knock a premiership club down to division 2 and take points.

No i don't agree cause they all cheat, then we wouldn't have football if we banned them for 2 years but being serious why not heavily fine them...
