It is all based on what you want in your life. Freemasonry can be a great organization if you are looking for good men to associate with and ways to help your community become a better place. If you want the "fast track" to political power, then Freemasonry is not what most people think it is--it is NOT a world conspiracy to dominate (George Bush and Tony Blair are NOT Freemasons). If you want religious rituals, then Freemasonry is not what many people think it is--it is NOT a religion (and certainly not Satanic). In the United States alone, Masons donate more than $1 million a day to charity.

As a 3 time Past master of my Masonic Lodge i will tell you that the benefits are mostly up to you.
Different people get different things out of masonry.
I enjoyed it and got a lot out of it.
The one draw back is it is time consuming.
But then I guess anything worth while is.

Definately speak with someone at your local lodge. I hear they do a lot of good in the community and if you have any interest in (what some call 'new age' beliefs) but still follow God, you may really like it.

I have been pondering the idea of joining, however its great that they collect new toys to give kids at x-mas and bring caps to cancer children. But I don't like
is that its members & lodge remind me of a religious organization and somewhat of a satanic organization all in one.
