Amma is my main ishta devata, next is Kali and Krishna. I love all forms of Devi. I'm also attracted to Santhoshi Maa. Krishna is the Mother of the Universe too. There are images of Krishna as Kali. Ever seen those? So to me there is no difference between Amma-Kali-Krishna, they're the one and same to me, just different bhavas.

I regularly chant the Sri Lalita Sahasranama (The Thousand Names of the Divine Mother) which is the most exalted and most powerful chant of all.

Ishta Deva is one.
One can be devotee of many gods/goddess but Ishta Deva is one. Example
A girl after marraige comes to in law's house. For her every body is god/goddess, father in law, motherin law , all the elders in the family she has to show the respect. But her Ishta Deva is her husband. One can express oneself to Ishtadeva

the concept of God in Hinduism is extremely personal. As there is a one 2 One relationship between man and his God, each has an ishta devtaa as per his own choice and beliefs..

while family traditions can have a key role to play here, individuals can still have their own personal Gods...

foe eg... the medieval saint(ess) Meerabai.. she defied her family & traditions to worship Krishna as her personal God and ultimately one with him, inspite of their Family Ishta devta being the Mother Goddess....

one subject you ignored of your checklist is Atheist, i'm an Atheist and that i'm a good individual, I stay a good regulation abiding existence, I do no injury to others, i'm considerate of people, I have no subject with others believing in whichever God they pick and that i purely choose they could settle for that no longer everybody shares that conception and could stay peacefully alongside them without the might desire to create hate and coach hate of alternative religions. I even have watched Muslim courses on Sky television and the biggest topic substitute into in regards to the unbeliever and how incorrect they have been to no longer have faith, all of it looked fairly severe to me using fact it looked as though I might desire to be punished for no longer believing, I on the different hand do no longer think of you may desire to be punished for being Muslim, Jewish, Christian, Buddhist, or Pagan for that rely. Chris.
