A death is a hard thing to cope with always. If you are under 18 you should tell your parents that it is still bothering you. If you are older you should talk to a psychologist!! It WILL help. If you are really not interested in either of those options talk to a friend or loved one. Find a way to honor that friend and keep their memory alive. All of these things should help you to come to better terms with the death. You should think about your friend and remember the good times and rejoice them but keep on living your life!
Regrets on the friend but good luck to you!!

You don't want to get over it for whatever your reason. You want this to be a crutch for you. All you have to do is accept that death is a natural process as is life. It's not your fault that she died so why continue to torture yourself. You best concentrate on your own life or you may be next. Worry will kill faster than a bullet.

Resolve firmly NOW to stop thinking about it (it wasn't your fault: you weren't to know, so don't blame yourself, for not seeing the signs, and acting in time). Use the negative thought reprogramming technique, at http://www.ezy-build.net.nz/~shaneris on page 2, and practise daily, and when needed one of the relaxation methods.

Honey, when people die,...they are sleeping, and know nothing..this is what the Bible tells us...she is resting,...and it was such a shock to you, that you haven't let go yet...She wouldn't want you to carry on like this, and mourn for so long..(if it was a girl)..girl or boy, they wouldn't want you to be sad for so long...I think you are just a loyal person, and don't want to let go for fear of someone thinking you didn't care...but you did care, and it's time to just ask God to help you deal with it...God can take that pain away, with the knowledge that she/he is with Him, ...and that you will see them again some day...through Jesus, ...you will feel better

that's very traumatizing to go thru. if you've never gotten counseling for it, you should. they can help you form some sort of closure and be at peace with it. that sort of thing isn't easy to go thru and you need to talk about it and not hold it inside.
