Not really... He was just doing his job, the same as the soldier that got killed. And just like that soldier, the traffic warden, got what he shouldn't have for doing that job. Maybe whoever it was that parked illegally, the offenders for the assault on the warden, and you too, obviously, ought to have a little bit more respect for the laws of the land that the soldier that died was trying to protect.

not really no, you see as i always used to say to people when i was a traffic warden laws are there for a reason and people would be quick to complain if their house burned down or their realtives died because an illegally parked car was blocking the road the emergency services needed to get down to deal with the situation and the guy who was assaulted was doing his job impartially and fairly when these two thugs attacked him, I hope they throw the key away when these two get locked up. You have to understand you cant have it both ways you dont want to be held up in traffic queues but then you dont want parking enforcement either

They have a job to do. Imagine if there were no traffic wardens or parking enforcers - the roads would be blocked and the emergency services wouldn't be able to get through.
Lets just hope you dont need the emergency services !!
As for putting the man in hospital - that is way over the top. That violence committed is as bad as the terrorists at Glasgow Airport!

I know people don't like Traffic Wardens but they are only doing a job if people were allowed to park where they wanted It would end up in one great traffic jam,
If we all obeyed the parking laws we wouldn't get tickets
No matter what your job no one deserves to be assaulted doing their job This could effect the traffic warden for the rest of his life .

The Traffic Warden was doing his job which is covered by law.
These two thugs decided by themselves that he should not be issuing parking tickets to illegally parked vehicles and attacked him viciously.
If you condone this sort of attack, then you have got something really wrong with you and you should be locked away from the public.
I hope those two thugs get the book thrown at them. But I doubt they will, because of people like you who condone this sort of action.
I don`t feel sorry for you......no.
I pity you.

No Traffic Wardens have a job to do, the are rules that have to be obeyed and the jobs who did this need to serve some serious time.
It is beside the point that they were attending the funeral of a British soldier in Iraq, many people have to use the streets and roads and the regulations are in force to see that the roads remain free from blockage for the benefit of all the Road-Tax paying public.

No, not really. People over-reacted. The warden was not to know that the cars were part of a funeral, especially as it was parked outside a pub.
Get real.

It made my day to see an inconsiderate fool get his comeuppance! When the full story comes out, you can bet your money that someone tried to reason with him.He probably didn't want to loose his 10% bonus on the ticket fine.

Why would that cheer me up!
Traffic wardens have a job to do like the rest of us! People don't get it when it come to the law... let me explain!...
If you don't want a ticket, or a fine, or to be arrested.... THEN DON'T CONMITT THE OFFENCE!
...Wow that feels better

The one that really cracked me up was the cop that mazed a driver while in the car in New Hampshire, turned around and got shot 6 times and ran over by the driver. Upon inspection of the incident on videotape, the driver was cleared of all charges.
Take that for abusing authority!
