Take a look around you and see the homeless on our streets then tell me we have enough room. As for what our forefather did stop blaming us..... It was years ago... Give it up.....

Great idea, lets concrete over Dartmoor, or the Peak District, or the Yorkshire Dales, or the Scottish Highlands. Your statistics, don't really take into account actual cities, just the land mass. I for one would not like to see the country side lost, just so we could house more cities for immigrants or British people. To say I pilleged from others is quite a lie too, I have stole nothing more than a pen and some paper clips.
Again if you are not happy about the British people, or indeed don't like being British, you are free to leave at any time and go and live elsewhere.

Chabwera, your rhetoric is completely unfounded and utter tripe!
The comparison you make between Japan and the UK is not academic. Japan has double the population because they are able to optimise living arrangements, (ie close proximity and high rise buildings). They are able to do this effectively because people are willing to live in these arrangements.
Why are they willing to live in these arrangements?
Well for one thing the Japanese Government has the good sense to keep out mongrels like yourself. Secondly Japanese people are prepared to live in these dwellings because they are devoid of some of the filth and vermin that are allowed to enter the UK and then occupy similar dwellings, people like you for example.
Japan and the UK do have one thing in common, both 'acquired' by choice resources and do so to this day, after all we have immigrant labour, not for the want but for the need. You 'people' are getting much more than your fair share, if I had my way I would not pay you in bread cheques.
Normally I am quite sympathetic to some of the plights of immigrants, particularly those that have something positive to offer this country. As for you, your nothing more than an un-informed idiot!
Your view on space vs. persons ratio is nonsense. However if your theory is correct India can accomodate many millions more than the UK, problem solved! Get yourself off to India and enjoy the trappings of immigrant life there!
Finally, as for closing the drawbridge, I do not think that is such a good idea. I like the thought of pouring burning oil to keep out the mongrels.
Hope you now get the message!

The difference between Japan and the UK is that the population figure for Japan is mainly made up of Japanese and living conditions and health care is stretched to the limit and beyond. If you want to maintain a high standard of both you have to have a manageable population level (is it not Japan and China that are bringing in strict regulations on population expansion?) and not be using every inch of space available. Your comments show the underlying problem, UK is becoming greatly multicultural and unfortunately they are not all living in harmony and its not just the British that are racist. You show that many going to live in the UK arrive with built in issues that only create more problems. The UK have left it too late to pull up the drawbridge they should have adopted the strict restrictions of other countries a long time ago. They have always had an open door attitude which is gradually strangling the country as it fills with people looking for a better/easier life with readily available assistance from the UK Govt for housing, health, education and benefits, what other country offers that?

The majority of the UK population think that immigration should be seriously curbed. We have a right to say how many people we want coming into OUR country.
Even established ethnic minorities are voicing concerns about the level of immigration, our schools, hospitals and other social infrastructure can't take the strain.
Japans population is mainly Japanese, not made up of large groups of immigrants. Why don't a lot of these potential immigrants stay and help sort out their own countries,
Sorry I disagree with you, there simply is no more room at the inn. Try the guest house next door for a change.

No, there's not. The infrastructure is going to collapse if many more people are allowed to immigrate here. Where do you suggest we put them - St Kilda or something? There are loads of indigenous homeless, people here can't get what they're entitled to because the country is too busy dealing with immigrants.
Read this story and tell me what YOU think. A friends daughter worked in large bakery in my area. She worked beside a guy from Czechoslovakia and they got chatting one day. He showed her TWO bank books, one with a balance of £20,000, the other with £15,000. Since he was an immigrant and had only been here for about 18 months, she asked how he'd managed to save that amount (he was on less wages than her - she was a supervisor). Told here that he was claiming Family Tax benefits. Fine. She hadn't realised he had a family. Oh, yes, but they were back home in Czechoslovakia! The plan was to work for another six months get another £5000 grand and bugger off back home with his wee nest egg, courtesy of the British mugs. Multiply THAT by a few thousand! My sister was one of those caught up in the Tax benefits claw back because THEY had made mistakes. She had given them all the relevant information both by form, letter and phone and they STILL got it wrong. It caused her loads of financial problems and almost caused a nervous breakdown.
19.20 Please don't get me wrong - If people are working then they are entitled to Family Tax benefits - BUT ONLY IF THEIR FAMILIES ARE IN THIS COUNTRY!!!!!
While I'm at it - is there any country - apart from Britain - who doles out the taxpayers money like these anuses do here? I don't really think so - I'm just curious, cos if there were, all these people wouldn't be so desperate to get to Britain.

We statistically have enough space for a lot more in America, too - but there's a factor easily lost in this "open borders" kind of thinking - land aesthetics. Do you really want to allow in so many people that, like in America, the majority of the open lots and natural landscapes are converted into ugly urban jungles, just for the sake of economy?
Also, does it matter whether Britain has a history of colonization? Just because they messed with their countries, means that they have a moral obligation to sit back and watch while their country gets infiltrated? That's some pretty stupid logic there.

Japan is a completely different place to the United Kingdom and quite frankly I'd like to keep it this way. We are an island, we have beautiful countryside that hasn't yet needed to be built on. If 'you people' had your way we'd be ruined. How dare you tell us what we've got room for. We're happy as we are, we need a tougher government that are prepared to have guns on our borders. Save our little island before it's too late!

tell me when I stole and pillaged from others and i will accept your argument as valid. If you want to keep raising the past and using that as a justification for the present then im going to go out and slaughter hundreds of Africans as a retaliation for rourkes drift or maybe i should wipe out 3,000 muslims as a retaliation for 9/11. You mention Japan, would it be acceptable by this rationale for me and my mates to go over to Japan, take over a city and rape all the women as a retaliation for the rape of Nanking? Maybe we should set up camps and use Japanese men for bayonet practice or make them stand on metal plates in direct sunlight all day long? You see the problem with idiots like you is that you treat whats happened to your ancestors as if it has happened to you personally and until you can begin to forgive us for the past then i wouldnt be too hopeful about being forgiven for the present

You do realise that some lands are be classified as uninhabitable, reserves, parks, moorlands and therefore cannot have people living there. There is land which is unable to support over a certain amount of people as well due to its density.
I think you should look up the meaning of racist.
The UK lets in far more than it's fair share of illegals. Yeah we stole and pillaged.. it was a long time ago.. get over it.
Australia: 7,741,220 km²
Population: 21 million
If you think Australia can handle 30 times the amount of people the UK can you're dreaming. We can't. Too much desert. If, however, you think you can survive in the Australian desert be my guest. I will welcome you with a BBQ and then I will leave you in the desert to rot.

why should we keep letting people in, I'm not racist but i believe that the people that are all ready here should have a chance for houses and jobs before the immigrants. i like that we still have countrysides and i want to see the green grass or the woodland areas when i get older, why should we build on every bit of land we have. I'm sure that it will ruin the environment.
