Hi, my upper leg (thigh) area muscles are really sore, this has been for the last four hoursish, Whenever I walk around or move they start to hurt even more. My arms are sore aswell but the pain isnt as bad. Im gonna assume its because I went biking alot today with a friend, and jumped on a trampoline for abit, for the first time this month. But should the pain be so bad, that I dont even feel like sleeping now, how can i solve this?

It is normal to experience pain so severe that it interferes with sleep. The muscles are screaming that they have been overused.

Take a hot bath with 2c. of dissolved Epsom salts. Soak for 30 minutes. The Epsom salts will help eliminate the lactic acid that forms on the muscles from over exertion.

Massage an analgesic cream into the sore muscles. use Advil soft gel capsules four times daily for pain relief.

Dehydration can cause severe pain in the muscles. I recommend you drink purified water mixed with mineral water 50/50. This will replace the minerals that are exiting your body continuously.

I suggest that adults and children drink 40 ounces of water per 100 pounds of body weight every day. Realize that exercise, ambient temperature, and state of health affect the water needs of your body. One tip for athletes: it is healthier to drink a sports drink or water than fruit juice, soda, coffee, or milk during competition or active training periods.

500mg of calcium and magnesium, taken twice daily, can help with diminishing the pain.

it depends on how long you were biking and stuff.. If it doesn't get better within the next (i'd say about 24 hours) check with a doctor. If you have a heating pad that might help, if you alternate that with ice. If you do not have a heating pad, you can put a small folded towel in the microwave for about 45 seconds (no longer than that though, as it might scorch the towel) and use that as a heating pad. But do check with your doc if it doesn't get any better. Also, you can try a hot shower or bath to help relax those muscles.
