I was having a very vivid, powerful dream, (it revolved around trying to find out why a computer gaming friend of mine is no longer speaking to me), then suddenly at the end, out of nowhere my grandfather just walked up to me and looked me square in the face; he was instantly recognisable, do you have ideas what his appearance might mean? Do you have any experience in this sort of stuff? His sudden appearence was very emotional for me, it touched me deeply; why would he just suddenly appear like that?
If you choose to respond, please understand that I know there are websites where you can get your dreams analysed; that's not what I've come here for, if I want a website for dream analysis, I'll look one up; thankyou kindly for understanding my decision. :)
For the record, my grandfather died back in 1982, and has been sorely missed by everyone in our family, although he is rarely mentioned; we all know we all loved him.

If this friend is no longer speaking to you, then you must not want him/her to disapear, and remove themselves from you, much like your grandfather did. Grandfathers and older people in dreams from my experience represent times coming to an end, or somthing related to regrets. This is because old people in our lives do die, and it's a fact we cannot help. If you were thinking about this online friend not speaking to you, and your grandfather appeared, it COULD mean you don't want your friendship to end, much like you and your Grandfathers did, if you were even alive at the time he was..So the old man (Grandfather) appeared, because it was a common memory of somone dear to you being cut out of your life. Although I'm sure this online friend is nowhere close to as close to you as yoru Grandfather was, I do think it is a dream of you being reminded of past partings. I'm not an expert and have never had it happen to me personally but my husband had a visit from my grandad to tell him our course of action was the right one.
The fact you mentioned your dream was vivid and powerful suggests that he has visited you in his spirit form to bring comfort to you.
Dreams are a good way for these visits with some people.
I am only guessing that his way in life when he was alive was to be strong for his family and give support by being there, not necessarily speaking?

I dont know the answer but id like to find out as i had a similar dream about my grandfather. I felt as if he had come back and shown himself through my dreams as i asked that week for him to come back and show me a sign that he was ok. He must have known that i would of been abit scared if he had of done in in my house. It was comforting for me.
Just thinking tho, do you think he was trying to tell you to stand up for yourself? As in look square in the face of this friend that isnt speaking to you.

Could be that you miss him alot and your subconscious is recognizing it. On the other hand could be some sort of sign that your at piece about something. My dad passed away a year ago and I have very vivid dreams about him when he answers questions about stuff pertaining to whats going on around me. I wish I could help you more.

No way ..... ME TOO REALLY........ My grandfather passed away about 9 years ago .... but I was so hurt when he passed that I cried ...alot... when I got to thinking about him..... well not too long ago...... I had a dream of my grandfather I was BBQ ing in a house with some family members and in my dream my grandfather was at another house right next door with this lady just smiling.. and it was really sunny ..out side.... there were no words just happiness and I get waving him to come over to our side were I was BBQ ing.... but he just smiled and disappeared...when I woke up it was so reall that it touched me deeply..... It brought tears to my eyes ... once I was awake I knew that GOD had allowed my grandfather to come to me in my dream to let me know that he was alright ... and not to worry... I believe.... he can see me...but I pray to GOD..... every night.... I believe that in the afterlife I will be with my grandfather...in that sunny place...

I bet when you saw your grandfather he looked younger, you have seen what a lot of people would love to see, the spirit of your grandfather.
He just came to let you know, he was fine and happy in the spirit world good dream.

my father died when i was 14, i'm now 34. i had a dream once that i was in a movie theater and my dad came to me and hugged me and then just faded away in my arms. this dream bothered me alot. i loved my dad and i didnt understand why i had that dream or what it could have meant so i told my ex-grandmother in law the dream and she told me it sounding like my dad was saying goodbye to me and do you know from that moment on, it was like, i dont know, i could let it go finally. that i could face it and let him go and it seemed like it didnt hurt as bad after that. maybe your grandfather was just trying to tell you goodbye, to let him go,so maybe it wont hurt so bad.i believe the people we love have ways of telling us these things. and every one is different. i hope you get some peace and comfort from this. may good bless you and keep you.

Your grandfather represents wisdom which was imparted to you while he was living. There is something which he passed on to in you in regard to how to deal with or understand the situation with this computer gaming friend.

It means that in your minds of mind you love him and has a place for him. So it has come out as a dream. If you believe in ESP (Extra sensory perception), then probably he was telling you some information.
