Step away from the computer and get some saline drops! Sounds like you have eye strain and dry eye...Don't buy visine or anything with vasoconstrictors in it...Just some plain refreshing eye drops or even a bottle of contact saline solution. Put some in your eyes, apply a cool compress, and stay away from the computer/TV/ etc. You gotta get some sleep! Your eyes need rest! If the pain is bad, you can take some tylenol or ibuprofen...

I think you have pink eye, I had it twice when I was younger. It will take 8-10 days if you do nothing, maybe longer if there's no washing out the eye or anything, if you medicine it can be 3-5 days. Place a cool, moist chamomile tea bag on each closed eye for about 10 minutes. Repeat this every couple hours. You can buy these tea bags at any supermarket. Make sure chamomile is the only ingredient. Don't rub your eye and touch things, if you do touch your eye wash your hand immediately, because it is contagious but can be avoided.

I don't know if you have allergies or not but they can also affect the eye if you do have allergies.

Infection is a definite possibility as well such as with pink eye as suggested by the last poster.

I would recommend seeing your dr this week, if you can't get in try a walk-in clinic such as those that are showing up in some of the bigger drug stores to have them check this out for you.

Sounds like an infection. Keep your I extra clean and don't touch it with your hands. If it doesn't go away in more than 3 days you should get help.
