Are you serious? Did he really say God told him to do it? Oh, my! We really do have a president who is round the bend, don't we?
Tell me you're only kidding. Tell me he didn't really say that. Please!

God never talked to President Bush.
(and I know from a good reliable source...)
God sometimes talks to people like Joan of Arc but President Bush is not Joan of Arc.
Maybe President Bush thinks he's John of Arc!
Now...that's explains some stuff...
Or maybe President Bush thinks he's Napoleon, going around invading everything...
By the way, Satan has nothing to do with this whole mess.
(and I know from a good reliable source...)

The invasion of Iraq was about oil reserves period. We need to control the flow of oil period. Has nothing to do with God or Satan or weapons of mass destruction or anything else other than oil. All those chanting & wishing for a withdrawal from Iraq can save their breathe & good thoughts. We, our tax dollars at work, are going to be in Iraq for a very, very long time to come. Even after the military scales back, we will still be there through the numerous private contractors/security personnel (mercenaries) that are on the ground as I write this but are not inclunded the official count of personnel in Iraq.

First, I want to thank the conglomeration of idiots who have answered previously.
God did not tell President Bush to invade Iraq. The IAEA, the CIA, and the British Intelligence Agency all concluded that Saddam Hussein was re-establishing his nuclear weapons program and a threat existed that he could provide those weapons to terrorists.
President Bush clearly stated in his state of the union address that we could not wait until Iraq posed an imminent threat.
Go check the facts. They are readily available on the Internet. You can also see John Kerry claiming it is imminent, as follows.
"We are in possession of what I think to be compelling evidence that Saddam Hussein has, and has had for a number of years, a developing capacity for the production and storage of weapons of mass destruction. "[W]ithout question, we need to disarm Saddam Hussein. He is a brutal, murderous dictator, leading an oppressive regime ... He presents a particularly grievous threat because he is so consistently prone to miscalculation. And now he has continued deceit and his consistent grasp for weapons of mass destruction ... So the threat of Saddam Hussein with weapons of mass destruction is real ...
Sen. John F. Kerry (D, MA), Jan. 23. 2003.
What more can I say? Maybe John Kerry is the devil? If he weren't so pathetic, I might believe it.

I doubt "god" ever told President Bush anything....
but if Bush really believes that...I guess he
doesn't know!
It probably was, I mean...
why would god want war???
Bush is messed up.......
and probably only said that "god" said that,
to try and win over the religous people,
because he knows that those are the
people that get what they want....
and that don't take no for an answer.
So if they like him, he will be doing better
then he was before...?

Iraq was/is a means to an end. As are many things in this and past presidencies, not everything is as it seems. The American public (and subsequent world) is spoon fed what it wants them to know, as they need to know it. Bush was not told by any God that we would recognize to do anything. Bankers and businessmen are at the heart of it all.
