And all nature of other bugs. And sweaty backs. And humidity.

Laptop, I survived! The family reunion was yesterday (it's still going on, but I limited myself to one day). Something interesting happened. Instead of every single person getting up and talking about how much they love everyone, then airing their complaints about those same people, only two people spoke: my 70-something year old grandmother and my cousin who is hosting next year's reunion at his house in Tampa, FL. (His dad is not talking to the whole family, and it's his job to step up and host it, but he refuses. So, his youngest son did. How cool is that?)

Anyway, it was so much more . . . . peaceful than ever. I was still not happy because I had to do the very awkward walk around every single table and say hello. And my boyfriend always bails because he's extremely shy, and he hates that. But there were cousins who I hadn't seen in ages there. And they are cousins I like.

Plus, some of the idiot uncles weren't even there! Yay!

Even better, I got into a discussion with one of my favorite uncles about who he is considering for the Presidential election. That made the time go fast.

And then . . . two hours after we got there, we were done! They all shuffled off to my uncle's house. And we went home and napped instead.

It was the best family reunion ever.

(Thought I'd update since you knew about the dreaded reunion.)

I love summer. But the mosquito's biting, and the sunburns are courtesy of the curse (you know...Adam & Eve...). The family reunions though? God's sense of humor perhaps? Nah...I love family reunions. As irritating as some family members can be, I will sure miss them when they're gone.

I love summertime...flowers and swimming and sunny , warm days could do without the mosquitoes and sunburns, but there are things to prevent both from being bothersome. have a good night. God Bless and peace 2 u

It's raining here
Only the river is swelled.
But I guess one must be thankful for something or other.
The plants and the grass DO look wonderful, and I'm sure there are more rainbows than usual.

Life is painful then you die. Figured it out yet?
In the middle, you have to pay taxes for things you hate too.

Oh yes. You have to love the sunburns! And all the fires are a nice touch too.

No. Never much liked the summertime. I reckon that's because where I live it is intolerably hot and humid.

I agree with summer. But, mosquitoes? No. Sunburns are our fault. I will ask Him one day why he made such nasty little bugs. :)
