I think it is really up to you! I know there is a guide book that I have that tellls you exactly what to tip according to price, but if I was not treated well or they did not follow my instruction or wishes on how I wanted my hair cut or their attitude, I tip based on that a lot of times! I would probably leave $1.50 if she was nice and I recieved a good cut!

it all depends on how much delight you find in it, they will get their pay one way or another.
tips are a traditional way of saying thank you, but in a different manner.
If you dont like your hair, dont pay them.
If you love your hair, pay them for what you feel is right.

why would anyone get a five dollar hair cut... if it was five dollars don't tip it probally sucks.
