My dreams....I usually have several a day...they jump from one dream to another...and i always seem pressed for time...in a hurry...or anxious in my dreams. Some of them look like video games too. It's weird. I sleep about 14hrs a day too. I sleep way too much. It's how I escape. Anyone else do this or have weird a*s dreams that don't make sense?

You say your 14 hours of sleep is an escape.. an escape from what?

That might be your problem.
I sleep about 4 hours a night, on average, and I write all the time. My dreams, when i remember them, (which is rare) are not pleasant, but are good material for writing

If you have to sleep 14 hours a day to escape then you might have extreme anxiety and your dreams may be suggesting you deal with that issue rather than avoid it. We need some details to make a better suggestion.

My dreams jump from scene to scene, frequently unrelated. The most I can remember is about 5.

Most dreams don't make logical sense on the surface, but that doesn't mean they are totally random and meaningless. There are messages there if you look at them right.

i sleep to escape as well and i too have very weird dreams as well. I think it comes from your brain providing it's self with an escape from normal everyday life

Well dreams can have some meaning.

But for the most part you brain is active & it just picks up random bits & they can be a lot of unrelated junk.
