some believe it is the cup used to ctch Jesus's blood, others say it was the cup used at the Last Supper. Some believe its documents proving Jesus was not the son of God and others say its Jesus' bloodline. what do you think it is and why? also, if the grail in whatever form is found, how do you think the world will receive it?

It's a bogus nonsense that mankind continues to create to hold credible whatever the heck they believe or want to believe. There's no record of it in the Bible. Only a prophecy of people who would eventually do such things.

As for finding the holy grail (if the past generations have actually made one and hid it) it would be to lead people away from the truth and to believe the non-sense made after the Lord's death and while a lot will fall for it, many will receive Him (The LOrd) and will not be lead astray by the unbelievers or the devil. May God help you understand, remain blessed

In Old French, "san greal" means "Holy Grail." In the same language, "sang real" means "royal blood." So many of the stories of blood, bloodlines, etc come through this.

The idea of it being a cup that caught Christ's blood goes back to a fictional story in the 12th Century by a French writer, Robert de Boron.

Dan Brown, in the last few years, wrote a popular book about Jesus being married to Mary Magdalene and the idea of Jesus' bloodline being symbolized by the Holy Grail. While he clearly had to use documents out of context and even add words to the documents to make him fit this idea for the novel, it is an interesting book. I'm not a novel reader, but he did a great job with that one. People even bought into the idea without bothering to research it at all beyond the book.

Both stories are fictional, though Dan Brown's book was inspired apparently by a group that has been around since the middle ages that believed Jesus and Mary Magdalene did have children. Robert de Boron's story is based upon Joseph of Arimathea, who buried Jesus in the Gospels.

The Holy Grail is (ready for this one?) a cup. Yup...just a boring old cup. It was used at the Last Supper. It's probably not around any more. Quests started in the middle ages to find it as people began to hear stories about where it was. There was an article about the history of the Holy Grail and the search for the Holy Grail in an edition of Bible Review maybe about 2 years ago. I wish I remembered more details about it. But if you contact Asbury Theological Seminary and get in contact with him, he may be able to get you a copy somehow or point to where you can find one.

Happy Hunting!

1. Some believe its documents proving Jesus was not the son of God
2. and others say its Jesus' bloodline.

I'm splitting your question up into 2 parts.

1. there are no such documents.
2. Jesus had no bloodline, because he was single and celibate.

I think the holy grail was the cup he used at the last supper.

If the grail was found, there'd be all sorts of skeptics, and the world would continue on as it is. Until Jesus comes back, that is...

My personal opinon is that it is the cup He drank from at the Last Supper. I am aware there are several possibilities and theories. Other than a bloodline, I do not see how the cup, whether He drank from it, or it caught His blood could be holy.

BUT IF, Jesus does have heirs, they wouldn't necessarily be holy either, they would have a human (sinful by nature) mother.

It sells a lot of books...............

Yes, I am indeed a Christian....I believe Jesus is Holy, but not the grail

the world will receive it no differently that it received Jesus Himself--there will be believers and mockers alike

The holy grail is a virgin woman of the dragon bloodline. They had and have the ability to give wisdom and knowledge through enlightenment. Also, to see across and into other dimensions. These women produce chemicals in their bodies that bring enlightenment when ingested. This is the holy grail.

With great fanfare it would be placed in a museum and after a couple of weeks life would go on as usual. Even if someone found the tomb of Christ and proved by some scientific means the remains were his, life would still go on as usual. It wouldn't change anything for those who unquestioningly accept whatever religious leaders say scriptures mean. People have an astonishing capacity to continue to believe in something in which they have much pride? invested in spite of any evidence to the contrary. The evidenced is rationalized in some way to support their preconceived ideas.
