Very often the consequences of our actions are not easily perceived. It is when we perceive them that we become enlightened. But I believe that we must all make our own mistakes, and sometimes those mistakes are made by societies. If you study history, many have pointed to the erosion of morals is the precursor to the fall of societies and even of civilizations, although there are other factors, such as weak leadership and nepotism, the erosion of morals is one of the symptoms of a declining society, and as such enlightened people as we are in this day and age with so much knowledge at our finger tips, why do we continue making the same mistakes? I think it is a natural process that we endure, and is a part of life, which I fully embrace. I may not like a lot of aspects of life, but if I come around here to judge people it only makes them feel badly about themselves, and more importantly, they feel unwelcome and unwanted. This, I think, is much worse than anything in the world. I would like people to know that no matter what, there is no end to the compassion that some people are gifted with. We very often do not tap into that compassion and instead chose to condemn without thought. This is an issue that takes a great deal of thought, because people are important. They can shine in our lives when we are feeling down, and when they are down, we can shine for them.
