I think every person's view of Heaven is different. Heaven is a unique thing for each of us.

Other religions besides Christianity believe in Heaven. Why couldn't it encompass all faiths?

Maybe there is no Heaven at all. It's possible that Heaven is a nonexistent place that someone thought of to make death seem not so cold and final- Other people liked the idea and started telling the tale over and over until it was widespread.

I'd like to think that there is a Heaven and that I will be able to spend eternity with all my family and loved ones that have died before me. It's a wonderful idea. Thinking of it softens the harshness of death. I have not idea if it is true or not. It's something I will not know for sure until I die.

This is a question that cannot be answered in this world. It's up to each one of us to find our own truth.

Absolutely, Everyone will go to Heaven.

Why should a religion be a VIP Card to get entry to this "Heaven". If Heaven is what it is explained to be, why not everyone can get to heaven.

The Bahá'í Faith regards the conventional description of heaven (and hell) as a specific place as symbolic. Instead the Bahá'í writings describe heaven as a "spiritual condition" where closeness to God is defined as heaven; conversely hell is seen as a state of remoteness from God. Bahá'u'lláh, the founder of the Bahá'í Faith, has stated that the nature of the life of the soul in the afterlife is beyond comprehension in the physical plane, but has stated that the soul will retain its consciousness and individuality and remember its physical life; the soul will be able to recognize other souls and communicate with them.

For Bahá'ís, entry into the next life has the potential to bring great joy. Bahá'u'lláh likened death to the process of birth. He explains: "The world beyond is as different from this world as this world is different from that of the child while still in the womb of its mother." The analogy to the womb in many ways summarizes the Bahá'í view of earthly existence: just as the womb constitutes an important place for a person's initial physical development, the physical world provides for the development of the individual soul. Accordingly, Bahá'ís view life as a preparatory stage, where one can develop and perfect those qualities which will be needed in the next life. The key to spiritual progress is to follow the path outlined by the current Manifestations of God, which Bahá'ís believe is currently Bahá'u'lláh. Bahá'u'lláh wrote, "Know thou, of a truth, that if the soul of man hath walked in the ways of God, it will, assuredly return and be gathered to the glory of the Beloved."

If it DID exist, why would they want to go there anyways?

In buddhism,there's Nirvana.
In Asatru, there's Valhalla. And by the way, 'Valhalla' was conjured up before Heaven ever was.
In Atheism, there is either nothing or an explicable plane of reality that the human mind cannot percieve.

I go for Atheism. Im not a simple minded twit like most Bible thumpers. :]

Occasionally through out my life I have heard or read of some fundamental narcissist who says you must believe in Christ to go to heaven. They know no fairness. You could ask about a person who has hardly ever heard of Jesus, someone from a primitive culture perhaps. They will say that that person can't go to heaven. It is such a shallow outlook that it is hard to believe modern people can believe it. I have photos of my little Filipino foster child hear at my desk. She is being raised in the Muslim faith. She is eight and her younger sister died recently. What kind of heartless God would deny that child heaven. It makes me very upset that people would want to. It totally disgusts me.

No, you can't be a Christian without Jesus Christ. He is the center of Christianity. And God told us , that there is but one way to heaven and that is through Jesus.

Yes, in case you're worried. The first and most important thing you must do is to love God with all your heart and mind and soul. Then you have to love others as yourself.

That is the most important thing to do. But, if you hate yourself and everyone else, and money or power is your "god", you probably don't have much of a chance.
Some Christians fall into that last category, some other religions fall into the first category.

they will die, that's for sure. the heaven club with so little to back it up, I'm not sure of. I mean lets face it, the word was brought to us by a bunch of jews who chose themselves as god's chosen people, and look what they have done to hollywood. they are the biggest liars in the world, movies are lies, they tell lies for a living and they are good at it. a supreme power , yes, a dictator as a supreme power, I have a hard time with that one.do you really think god will punish me for not believing in something as simple as a book passed down for thousands of years and it's source is not known?. I mean who is to say that people aren't worshiping the devil when they worship the bible, it says the devil will present itself in many forms. how do we know it wasn't the devil that wrote the bible to confuse us? that the bible isn't really from satan. we don't. we choose to take other peoples word for it.

Everyone has their own perspective of faith and religion.

Jews believe they are the chosen people and will go to heaven.

Christians believe their good works and dedication to the Bible will bring them to heaven.

Buddhist believe they are stuck in cycle of reincarnation until they can cleanse their souls and reach paradise/heaven.

Muslims believe that a strict adherance to the Koran will lead to their salvation, a heaven complete with virgins for them.

Everyone has a heaven.

My belief:
Everyone who does more good in this world rather than evil will find their own salvation.

Everyone on earth has a chance to go to heaven. In fact, Christians have no excuse if they don't go to heaven, since they know what Christ expects of them. Therefore, God expects more from Christians in life. Keep in mind that God is a just and merciful judge.

"The servant who knew what his master (Christ) wanted but didn't get ready to do it will receive a hard beating. But the servant who didn't know what his master wanted and did things for which he deserved punishment will receive a light beating. A lot will be expected from everyone who has been given a lot. More will be demanded from everyone who has been entrusted with a lot." LUke 12:47-48
