God is not always going to answer you in a way you can see, or in a way that you like. Sometimes the answer is, I've done what I can do following the rule of free will, now what will you do? Stop believing in God because he did not do what you want. I know I throw terrible temper tantrums, and I can almost hear God's gentle laugh, saying isn't she cute? She thinks she's doing something.
If we did appear out of no where and evolved into what we are now, God started it.
btw God is not Santa Claus. He knows what you want before you ask. He also knows what you need. He's just not gonna dip into his big bag and give you what you want just because you want it.
Life has always been, and always will be messy and difficult. Think of earth as just one big school where we learn what we need to. It's not necessarily pleasant or fun, but we need to learn a lot of stuff. That's what happens in life. It's messy, we pull ourselves out, with God's help, and we learn, with God's help.
You know, you cannot get mad or frustrated with something you don't believe in.
Even Jesus said that there will be poor always pathetically struggling, look at the good things you've got.
I really hope this helps. If you want to talk, pls email me. been where you are. It can and will get better if YOU do some of the work you are supposed to. Yes, God WILL help you, but he won't tie your shoes.
Blessed Be

WOWOWOWOW - IVE GOT THE SAME THING - SERIOUS - sorry for the caps...
I've become determenistic, but this has the effect that your life doesn't make a difference and even that you can't make a difference in your life.
At the same time I've realised life WOULD have a purpose if you'd believe in God, but I just can't do it. I can only try to convince myself that "free will" does exist, it would be better for me if I'd believe that "free will" and "God" would exist, even if I knew they didn't, because this would make me happier, cuz it would give me a purpose and the feeling that a man/woman CAN make a difference. It would just make life much nicer.
I've been in the same period, praying to God and asking God just to give me the slightest sign of his existence, but it doesn't work. Now I don't know and I could have been the one who would have asked exact the same question as you did.
How to believe in God again? I'd suggest a near death experience or witnessing a miracle. It is smarter to believe, but you can't fool yourself, so go and talk to a priest or something.
Sorry that I am the wrong guy to answer this question, but I felt like I had to write a replay, because it is such a good comment.
YES WE HAVE EVOLVED FROM OTHER CREATURES, but it didn't happened JUST, it did happen but it took billions of years and maybe even more, couldn't this be true??? I'd suggest further investigation.

It's hard to keep the faith sometimes, especially when the world seems to be declining. I am a Christian, and I DO believe in God, and in His son, Jesus Christ.
I pray often, and the things that I pray for don't always come to pass. However, that doesn't mean that He's not listening. Sometimes, I think He wants us to try to work things out on our own, kind of like how our parents do.
Bad things have always happened on this earth, it's not just a recent development. Sin is rampant in this world, and it's our job to forgive others, and try to lead others to Christ.
There definitely is a God, and I think that if you keep praying, good things will happen. Remember, life isn't going to be full of roses all the time, you'll still have to endure your share of pain.
God Bless!

What are you praying for, and does the prayer request have to be immediate?
If it is an immediate request, such as a new car, and you do not have the financial means to purchase the car, you probably won't have your prayer request answered.
If you can wait awhile, then perhaps you may just get that new car. There are different means to which you may receive this car, for example, a job that pays good, or winning a car, etc.
If you are a person who is self focused, and I do not know if you are, you will probably be a very unhappy people even if you received that car immediately.
What I would do is, plant the seed in my mind as to what I want, such as financial security, etc. And then focus outward,
and do good deeds such as volunteering at a something you like to do such as working at an animal shelter, etc.
I have planted seeds in my mind, and in time they came to pass. Even ones that were difficult to obtain, for example,
financial security. I waited for years.
Also, if you are experiencing an emotional problem, such as depression, God generally helps by providing people that can help you. I have experienced this too.
If you are a young people, always question everything. Do not take the church teachings as determining your right or wrong. Examine them first and if you want to adopt them, fine and if you don't, fine.
As a young person in quesitoning God, or an old person for that matter, your faith will probably grow.
I talk to God. I say outloud, "you want to tell me why you are doing this," or I have said, "I really hate you, God." Then days later, I am thanking him for helping me find my keys.
Since I have this kind of relationship with God, he is always forgiving me. He understands human nature. He doesn't punish me for telling him off. The only God I know is a kind and understanding God.
Anyways, wish you much luck.

Read the Bible. In the Bible it says there that all of these things should have come to pass so that the prophecy will be fulfilled. The prophecy that I am talking about is when the son of man (Jesus) will come back on earth (Judgment day) to get all the faithful to him and put an end to everything. All of the people who believes in Him will be save and the others who don't believe will go to hell for all eternity. Remember these bad things happen, so don't question God because it is not the nature of God to control people. People has choices/free will and God doesn't intervene with our choices.

Questioning your faith is actually healthy. You can get to know what you believe and why you believe it. I think you may need to sit down with a minister, priest, (or whatever your faith may be) or a believer friend and get some help answering some major questions.
As for the crap happening in the world remember this: God gave us all free will: freedom to truly love him (which is real love as it is not imposed) or hate him (which makes him sad), freedom to care for those around us or freedom live for ourselves. God also said that Satan is the prince of the earth which I believe means that his influence is unfortunately running strong and can be witnessed in so much of what we see today. That means that we have to continue to hold on to our faith to sustain us through our daily lives and do our best to spread the word of Christ to others (read: not forced on others). God, however, may be giving you a gentle nudge in knowing that circle of life is just too perfectly set up to be done by accident and now you need to put some effort into finding Him again. He is there waiting for YOU and He is listening but please don't wait for the burning bush as He left all the evidence you needed in the Bible. Do keep praying as I will for you.

Hi Punkin, this happens all the time to everyone. The only way to figure yourself out, is to question. You have only lost your faith, but it is not gone forever. I have several things posted go under my profile, and look up the question that says I know who I am. You will first find a lot, of good sayings/scriptures. Then if you scroll to the bottom of the page you will see a ong list of the different things you may experience in your life, then you will see a scripture that helps explain how God feels.
I have all of this on a microsoft word doc. if that is easier for you, but you have to email me, and I will forward it, but you have to email me separately from Yahoo answers. My email is, teenhelp911@yahoo.com
I think you will find the majority of the scriptures to be very encouraging and uplifting for you. If you want help understanding what you read, I am more than happy to help, if I dont know the answer I will ask someone who does.
I will pray for you too, if you would like. Get in touch with me if you want to find your faith in God, again. I lost mine too, at one point, but that is ok because I am back with God and much stronger/knowledgable than I was before. If you pray with love in your heart, you will have your prayers answered only in God's time.
Love in Jesus Christ

Read the Bible so that you can see for yourself why we live in a fallen world. God gave man dominion over this world, but we gave it to Satan. The Bible says that Satan is the god of this world, but not for long. Jesus is coming back soon. If you want to avoid the Tribulation, you must be "Born Again." Acts 2:38 shows us how. Now that I am filled with the Holy Ghost, God answers my prayers more often. I will pray that God will fill you with His Holy Spirit. All you have to do is turn from your sins, and receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior.

After my 16 year old son was killed in a car accident, I too began to question the Lord. I finally decided to go and talk to my priest about my questions. We talked for a long time, but there are 3 things that really stuck with me. 1. If you are saying "Why me, God?" you are really saying why not someone else. And trust me I wouldn't wish this pain on my worst enemy. 2. "God didn't promise days without pain, laughter without sorrow or sun without rain. But God did promise strength for the day, comfort for the tears and light for the way. And for all who believe in His Kingdom above, He answers their faith with everlasting Love." 3. If God brings you to it, he will bring you through it. I guess what I'm trying to say is that we have to trust that the Father knows what He is doing. He does answer our prayers, maybe not the way we want them answered but He does answer them. If He answered everyone's prayers the way we wanted, we'd all be millionares, driving BMW's and not having a care in the world. I soon realized that God gave His only Son for us so that we could share in eternal life, and that I will be with my son soon enough. Children are only ours to hold for a little while, they're His to hold forever. My best advice to you would be to talk to your priest or pastor or an someone in your church who epitomizes what you believe a true Christian to be. And keep praying, admit to God that you have doubts in your heart but don't expect a miracle to prove to you that He exists. Look around you. God exists in everything you see, from the smallest creature to the tallest mountain. I think that he allows evil to happen so that we can learn to appreciate the good things in our life more. I know that I personally appreciate my family & friends a whole lot more. I never leave them or hang up the phone from talking to them without telling them I love them. Maybe that's the lesson I was supposed to learn from Tyler's death. I will admit that I was a pretty self-centered person before I lost him worried about how much money I could make and how big of a house we had, that my kids both had the best clothes. Now those things don't seem so important any more. As long as my husband, daughter and grandchildren know that I love them and that I say a prayer for them every day( sometimes 2 or 3 times a day) that's what important to me now.

why couldn't we have popped out of nowhere? if god can do it why can't we. there isn't a heaven above earth. there are pics from space. don't read the bible. read the facts. the bible was written by a bunch of men who wanted to have people fear something unstoppable so that the men could stay in command. plus for some reason humans have reasoning and logic so we try to figure too much crap out. that's why we invent creators so all of our well thought out questions are answered. oh and about not believing in evolution...HELLO! we are doing it right now! why do you think the average guy that 200 or 300 [something like that] years ago was only like 4 and a half feet tall? the average has gone up enormously. we're getting taller!
