Of course-- Inquiring minds want to know! It is often said that a person should study the scriptures and decide for themselves what they should believe, and that is good. However when a person has been taught certain beliefs all their life it is going to have a bearing on how they interpret many things. There are Bible verses to uphold the beliefs of all denominations of churches. The Book you all study is quite different in many respects than the traditional Bible of most Christian churches, so be prepared to hear new thoughts and ways. I love studying other churches doctrines and though I am still in the church I was raised in and believe it to be the most 'right', I always learn something I had never thought about before. The more you know the better able you are to discuss religion with others and understand why they believe something differently than you have been taught.

Sure. The only requirement we have is to regularly attend our meetings. So if you occassionally visit another church, it's no big deal. If you stop attending your ward or branch, it puts your burden on others.
I am looking forward to visiting a church where a high school friend became the pastor. I went to a Luthern service recently and was amused to see everyone in shorts and tennis shoes.

Sure. As a matter of fact, our faith encourages us to learn what other faiths believe and why they worship the way they do. I even took a class once called Religions of the World sponsored by BYU with a NON-LDS instructor who would not allow us to debate religion. This instructor also brought in leaders of other faiths to teach us what they believe.

Yes. Some people will think it's bad, but all churches have some element of truth.

if you go to another church you won't be LDS.
why do you even what to go to a church?
maybe you should just live your life with integrity,
then you won't have the feeling you need to go to a church.
people go to church because deep down they feel guilty.
and if they go to a church, it makes up for the things they do wrong.

In this country there is religious freedom. That means go to another church if you want. Its good to see how others worship, you may learn something - either that you like better, or that you never appreciated about your own church.
Anyone who tells you you cannot visit another church is afraid...

They will excommunicate you if they think its an anti-mormon church. I think if you only visit then its ok but if you become a member then you will have trouble.
