I recently i saw question asking who is the top three quarterbacks in the NFL. Not one person of the 38 put Bulger in their list.
Here are his stats from last year
2nd most completions (behind John Kitna)
3rd most yards (behind Drew Bress and Peyton Manning)
4th Most touchdowns ( behind Bress, Palmer and Manning)
4th best passer rating of a quarter back the startered more than 11 games (behind manning, Palmer and Bress)
4th best passing pecentage fo a qb that started more than 11 games (behind manning, Bress, and Pennington)
Less interceptions thrown than Manning, Palmer and Bress
3rd most attemps (behind Kitna and Farve)
3rd yards per game (behind Manning, and Bress)
There is no doubt that Peyton Manning is the best quarterback in the game. Drew Bress is probaly the second best. But why do people not consider Bulger to be the third best quarterback in the game? When will he get the respect he deserves.

Palmers regular season record

Why would you not want Marc Bulger to lead your team in the final few minutes in the game?
In the two of the three playoffs games he has played in, he lead his team to a score with less than two minutes left in the game that either tied the game or gave his team the lead.
Central Catholic produces great quarterbacks.
Lets Go Central.

marc bulger is by far a top 5 qb. I think the fact that the rams defense has been lackluster for years is the reason mr bulger gets the stigma of not being a winner. he's been to 2 pro bowls and being the mvp of his first one. I watched him at WVU and always thought he managed the game better than most. He is very smart with the ball. He is pretty underrated.

I think people know he's a great quarterback, but I guess the only thing about him is that he hasn't had much playoff success, something all of these other players have had, except Kitna, though he did get the Bengals there the last time he was the starter for them. Also, until some dramatic improvements made this year, Bulger was playing in a relatively weak division, which involved the weak Cardinals and the deconstructed 49ers. He should have another good season, but the NFC West has toughened up around him. I think the division will go to the Niners, but the Rams have the best shot of beating them out.

He is a top 5 quarterback no doubt. But it's common sense. The reason he wasn't on a list of top 3 quarterbacks is because he isn't top 3 material! I definately would rather have Manning, Brees, Brady, and Palmer over Bulger no question.
Is he underrated? Yes, to an extent. But you have to use common sense man.
Manning- Proven Winner
Brady- Proven Winner
Brees- Stats much better than Bulger
Palmer- basically on same tier as Bulger, but he has more raw talent plus he has Ocho Cinco and T.J. Housh
What about Kitna never getting any respect being surrounded on a crappy team? How about a really talented kid in David Carr who hasn't seen a decent offensive line in front of him? How about Jake Delhomme a guy who's taken his team to a Super Bowl already and is very proficient? How about Trent Green a proven, veteran leader that has never seen a decent #1 receiver in KC but now has his chance with Chris Chambers and Marty Booker. And that's just quarterbacks. You think he's the most underrated player in the entire NFL? Exactly what's so spectacular about Bulger that he's so underrated? I think he's getting as much respect as he deserves.

Marc Bulger is actually a pretty good quarterback but he's not top 3 material. There are quite a few guys ahead of him that have done much more in their career. Yeah he went like 8 games without throwing an interception last year but Jake Plummer did something very similar to that the year before he and ended up on the bench.

Wins? Where does he stand in win percentage?
Sure, he is good at the stats, but I would rather have a winner when I think of who is a top QB. Montana and Elway never got the individual stats of Marino and Fouts - but who would you say were the better QBs?
The problem with Bulger is that he has yet to show up as the guy you want to have the ball when the going is tough. Manning (P), Brees, Brady, Palmer, and even Rivers, Hasslebeck, McNabb, and McNair are guys I would rather give the ball to with 2 minutes to go than Bulger.

Bulger is a very underrated quarterback. Did you know that Bulger is ranked fifth all-time in QB rating (behind Steve Young, Peyton Manning, Kurt Warner, and Joe Montana)? That's seven spots better than another Central Catholic guy - Dan Marino.

He is for sure a top 10 player, top 5 if you were talking to a Rams fan but yes he is one of the most under-rated players but I think the person that is more under-rated would have to be...Trent Green although it kills me to say it (being a Chiefs fan) that he is no doubt a top 5 QB in the league now.
1. Peyton Manning
2. Drew Brees
3.Carson Palmer
4.Brett Farve
5.Trent Green
On paper sure he is very under rated. Great on paper... But if I'm in the playoffs and I'm down by 4 and I need to score and I have 90 yards to go and no time outs and 1:00 on the clock I would rather have Peyton under center or Brett Farve or Drew Brees over Marc Buldger any day!

Bledsoe is ahead of Montana in yards too. Is Bledsoe underrated too?
Bulger might be a good QB on a lousy team, but at some point W-L must enter into everything.

Bulger is not in the top three simply because he does not belong in the top three. He has never gone deep in the play offs, and the three big rookies from last year will probably have as good or better stats this year as Bulger. sorry dude but basically he is a journeyman that had a year of decent stats.
