It depends on exactly how big the tattoo is, how much detail there is, and how much color (ink) is going to be needed. From what I have seen on Miami ink...I would say the less detailed ones would be around 150-250 and the larger more colorful ones would be around 400.
I have a tattoo of a fairy on my back that is about the size of a sheet of notebook paper...if not bigger and it cost me 180.

It all depends on where you go to get one. On Miami Ink they cost a lot. If you find a local artist to do one, it would be quite a bit cheaper. I have one on my leg done by a local artist and it is about the size of some of the ones they do on the show and it only cost me 200. Just make sure wherever you go, that it is sanitary. They use new needles, wear gloves and have the necessary equipment.

It depends on the size of the tattoo and whether or not it's original art that is created by the tattoo artist of something you bring in. You can pay upwards of $150 an hour for good work. \

If you're thinking about having work done, visit shops and talk to the artists, talk to your friends and look at the work they have done. Most everyone who has a tat would love to talk about the place they got it and appreciate your appreciation of their work!

Depends on the tattoo design, size, how intricate it is and so on. It also depends on the parlor. A good parlor will charge a good amount for their work, where as a dumpy place will be inexpensive but you wont like the work.

A good tattoo isnt cheap, and a cheap tattoo isnt good!

Tattoo prices vary by artist, shop policy, size, detail, color and placement. Some shops charge by the hour some by the tat. You can get a nice tat. Just remember A GOOD TATTOO ISNT CHEAP & A CHEAP TATTOO ISNT GOOD!

Don't get a tattoo. It will be wicked awesome for about 2 weeks. Then it will just be awesome. Then after a few months it will just be cool. After a year it will just be there. Eventually it will be lame and then wicked lame. But you'll be stuck with it. Which will make you wicked lame. I'm tellin' ya' don't do it.

it depends on who does your tattoo, where your tattoo is located on your body. how much color is in your tattoo, how much detail there is, how big it is, and your location (cost of living) etc... it just depends. i got one on my ankle of a cartoon dragon blowing bubbles he's about 2 inches tall and 2 inches wide. he cost me $96 in Indiana, have a conje (sp) symbol for courage on my foot that cost me $50 in Washington, and have a daisy on my hip cost $90 in Idaho.
