Male nipples serve no functional purpose, the functionality of the female nipple makes it more taboo for some weird societal reason. They get guys all excited and babies too. They will show them on educational shows- The National Geographic Channel- where their exposure is not sexual, but practical. It's an odd attempt to keep female breasts wholesome and mothering and not the object of sexual obsession in the media. But if you've seen ERIN BROCKOVICH or MIBII, you'll realize that even mainstream studios see that is an impossible task, as just a hint mammary glad turns the men in their respective scenes into ogling goofs. American men react to female nipples in a way that women don't react to men's, and in a society with a puritanical history that is just something better to be in mass denial about. It's big deal because we make it one. If it produces an unwholesome thought, it doesn't go on mainstream TV- never mind that the same unwholesome thought happens even if the woman in question is wearing a snowsuit and parka. Wholesome family values and what people really think about in the privacy of their own heads are two different things. Do you really want to know if you're ogling the same woman as you dad or granddad anyway? Covered female breasts keep you from such uncomfortable family moments. Guys look- it's a biological drive, it's going to happen, by keeping them covered up it helps us all pretend that it doesn't.

It is a double standard, and the sexuality rule is really meaningless since nipples are erogenous zones in men as well.

It is also interesting to note that toplessness (is that a word) is not a big deal in Europe. Women sunbathe topless on the Seine and the Costa Del Sol, and topless women are routinely depicted in art, from ancient Greek pottery to modern poster ads for French perfumes.

However, I am glad that women don't go around topless here in the US. It gives me more to look forward to when I have a woman in my bed.

It is socially acceptable for a guy to go without his shirt. But not for ladies. It is not a double standard. It is a safety and security issue. If Pamela Anderson or whoever cranks your tractor is walking down the street without a shirt on, then civil order would be thrown out the window. Guys would be hanging out the car and running over other people. Work would stop and the nation would come to a stand still. That is why they don't allow women to go topless on television.

I think its pretty much the way it is. although men have the nips, well its not all that attractive at times. Since women's breasts are composed of adipose cells giving them thier round prtuding shape its a little different.

I would have to say women don't get off on the mens nips like a male gets off on a womens nips! Ya know?

LoL
