Eat more. move less. If you have a high metabolism then lifting weights will actually work against you as muscles increase your metabolism.
always eat a ton of carbs and then go straight to bed, or sit and watch TV. limit your aerobic exercise.
If you do decide to do the weight training your going to have to eat more to keep the muscles you have gained.

gaining weight is easy once you start counting calories. if you know what your maintenance calories are then simply increase that by 10% each week until weight gain occurs. the type of exercise that you get and the quality of the foods that you consume have a definet effect on what "type" of weight you gain

I wish I had your problem, But, Even though I dont my brother did, The Doctor told him to drink half and half, He gained Like 12 pds in 3 weeks, He said it was a little on the yucky side but it did work for him, I dont know 'bout how healthy it is, But it was a doctor that told him to do it... Good luck

Track everything you eat on something like fitday.com. You'll probably find out that you aren't eating much more than 2000-2500 calories a day. Try for at least 3000 (depending on your age, gender, current weight, etc).

find out how many calories per day you need then add 500 to it. spread the meals over 6 per day. unfortunately the only way to gain is to eat more.
if you're doing weights then make sure you have 1g of protein per 1lb of body weight.

my grandma has the same problem to gain wait she drinks alot of soda and u can also buy certain protein drinks like ensure that might help you to gain some wait
