I was match and eharmony for 6 months each and only met one girl. She was much older than me and didn't want to have any more kids. I went and did a search on Match and only found one person I liked for 80miles.

I've met two people on OKCupid. They didn't work out.

Recently, I've been seeing someone who, three years ago, contacted me when coming upon my profile at AmericanSingles.

If "success" means things worked out well for a long time, I can't say that about the first two.

I like the idea of dating sites, though--I can get a good idea about someone before bothering to contact them. You know, making sure they're not religious, self-mutilators, drug abusers, or Republicans.

YES...my cousin got married almost two years ago to his wife that he met on e-harmony...my Grandfather met his second wife on an internet dating site and they have been married 8 years...I know tons of people that find success....just keep checking back and you're sure to find someone to spend your life with, but don't limit yourself to online dating if your schedule permits

I was in relationships with 3 guys from internet dating sites. Its just the way of meeting people but you never know what is what they lied about on their profiles (everybody does).

I hate those sites, I always used OKCupid for matchmaking and I have a very good relationship now from it, free and fun to take the silly quizes and compare with friends.

ummmm it's a bit different type of dating site, but try passion .com or friendfinder .com I'm on it with the same name as here and have found some really great people.

my sisters mother and her now step father met online and have been together for a while now. I would say, talk to this person on the phone, and if you click, you click. then meet each other and see how things go. People are people, whether you meet them online or in person.
