the salmon get there pink hue from the crustaceans they eat in the wild.The farm raised salmon are not fed these crustaceans so there meat is dyed.

Wrong folks. The ones that are farmed are treated with dyes.The Natural born Salmon are of course natural color.

Wild salmon are naturally pink. Farmed raised salmon are not . So they add carotene to the farmed raised salmon food, and this bi-product of beta- carotene changes the salmon meat color to pink.

If you look at any videos of salmon being scooped out of the water and eaten right there at streamside by bears you will see that their flesh is pink. And I don't think the bears were tinting them (and I don't think fishmarkets do either).

It is naturally pink,but they ad dye to intensify the color
