I recently found out from a neighbor that my brother was smoking weed. Now he has been acting out and disappering with his friends, and his grades are horrible. But would I be wrong if I told on him?

Go to your Brother one-on-one first. . . .Try to reason with him. . .don't be preachy, but just let him know that you love him. . .& make clear to him that his behavior is hurting you. . . if he doesn't get it. . .try to go to a relative or family friend who won't tell your parents, but is mature & expierence. . .yet who won't be super preachy, to attempt to talk to your brother. . . .

Go ahead and tell on him if you really think that your parents don't know. Do you really think that they don't know something is going on with his grades being bad, his acting out and disappearing?

I think in the long run you are helping him. You may ask your parents to keep it between you and them as far as who told them he was smoking pot.

i think you should tell your parents now. it's something that will help your brother in the long run. he may get in trouble now, but overall telling on him will help him.

definitely not... you want to tell someone before it gets wayyyyy out of control!! dont look at is as "tattle-taleing" or "telling on".... look at it as informing your family of something they have a right to know
