If there were evidence that a god were real, of course I would accept it. I'd then have to figure out which god it was, if that were possible. After that, I simply don't know. I would have a difficult time worshipping a god if I thought it were immoral, but I can't really say how I'd react in the face of objective evidence. I know that I would be open-minded about it, at least.

If I had proof of God's existence, I'd consider it. It would have to be VERY GOOD proof (bible doesn't count as proof).
There is nothing in my "ways" to change... I'm a happily married mom of one son. The only difference between my life and god's word is that I don't believe in him. With that one exception, I live a very good and respectful life... no murdering, no coveting, no cheating, no adultery, etc.
My main issue is that I really have issues with the majority of his followers. They tend to treat people with contempt (not in ALL cases, but in many) rather than compassion. I might have a quiet faith but I wouldn't go around trying to convince others if they don't want to know. It's all about choices.

Well your all in luck, because a guy is scheduled to show up and he will be providing solid proof that he is your God. He will actually sit on the throne in Jerusalem and cause fire to come down from the sky and devour his prophet’s sacrifice as well as many other miracles for you to touch and see.
He will be arriving just as soon as the humanists implement the new world order (one world government) so I’d say you can expect him soon.

I would acknowledge it as a real entity but I would never be a worshiper of a deity in which feels the best way to ~deal~ with its creation is murder. I will not follow a violent deity, no I would not change my ways because my ways are more moral than a deity that can't even follow all of its commandments.

First off, If he or she decided on paying me a visit, which one would it be? Aren't there several gods claiming to have created the universe. This supposed god would surely introduce themselves, and then I guess I'd better get on the bandwagon. I hope it's Dionysus he gives the best parties (or so I'm told).

Which god? You mean the biblical one?
Oh you are not going to like my answer, however I am being honest. I would go from being an atheist to a maltheist: I would do everything in my power to fight against that god and try and destroy it for the good of humanity. I would never bow down to such a deity.

"Change your ways?" Hardly. There is nothing to change, except my position on the existence of God.
Perhaps you are under the impression that Atheists are running amok with sin and error, but a true moral being is guided by a sense of justice and compassion, and has no need for a higher power.

Proof that god was real? That'd be cool. I'd share it with the world. But I still don't think I'd want to worship the Christian god. Not a great person, overall, according to the bible.

You Christians have beat the "what if" question into the ground, so I must ask you. WHAT IF your imaginary god turns out to be an alien astronaut?
