Do lunges, squats, "wall sits", calf raises on a curb or stairs, jump rope, bike and/or run. However, some of it depends simply on skill and/or talent. You can be super-strong and still not be the best jumper!

For instance, I was a GREAT jumper when I was in high school and college. I was on the track team and one of my events was long jump. Also, I could easily jump up and grab the rim on a basketball hoop...but I couldn't shoot worth a damn, and could barely dribble a ball. So, just because I was a great jumper didn't make me a great basketball player. I was (and still am) awful at basketball!

So, while the exercises I've mentioned above will definitely help you get stronger and jump better, don't expect too much. Focus on what you do well! Speed, jumping, hitting the ball, throwing, swimming, or whatever your strengths are! Good luck!

Last summer time i used to be five'10 and could not dunk an eight foot web. The whole summer time i simply stored on dunking and dunking, slowly relocating the web up. By the tip of the summer time i would dunk on a 9 foot web. Now, i'm 6'zero-6'one million and will seize a ten' rim and will dunk on a 9 and a part foot web. Just preserve training! You can do it!
