Ask your friend for the proof.
So many people past and present say all sorts of things causes cancer. It's one of those "fashionable" thing to say so they can get you to other "health" lifestyle or food products.
I have heard so many of such claims in the past such as oil in plastic bottles, non-organic vegies, margarine, colouring in soft drinks - all causes cancer. I have now come to the conclusion that too much statistics causes cnacer in lab rats.

They don't cause cancer, its just freeze dried fuit, aka fruit with the water all dried out +some sugar. The only food on the market that is known to cause cancer are the spices in certain meat called nitrates.

They are fine! Merely freeze-dried fruit. no big deal, no cancer-causing agents. Eat up.
