piercings, cuz yeah tattoos look pretty cool when you're young, but when you get all wrinkly they get disgusting, but with a piercing you can easily remove it ;)

I have and love both, but I prefer tattoos, even though I have far fewer of them. Two reasons:

1. They are permanent. Yes, this is an advantage. It means that when I want a tattoo, I REALLY think about it. I get something unique and meaningful to me. I design it entirely myself. Whereas I can gaurentee you that a million other people have the exact same piercing I do, and quite a few probably have ALL the extact same piercings I do, I can also guarentee you that NO ONE has my tattoo.

2. Tattoos get in the way less. Honestly, one of my limiting factors on piercings is that I refuse to get anything that gets in my way a lot. Things that would get knocked around, irritated, caught on stuff, etc. I also wear jewelry that makes these things less likely. But eventually you run out of "non-invasive" places to pierce things. You could have a whole body suit tattooed, and this wouldn't be an issue.

Like I said, I love both. But I gotta say, tattoos are an art. Piercings are more of a aesthetic piece for me.

Both. I have and love both. Can't really explain it, just always liked the looks of them. Got my first piercing at 13 and went with one of my best friends to get my currently only tattoo once she turned 18. I'm getting more of both in time. Just an attraction to them.

Piercings. You can get whatever you want pierced, easily remove it, and when you're sick of it, the hole can close up and usually no one can ever tell you had a piercing there. But tattoos are permanant, and one thing I find incredibly unattractive is older people with tattoos. I just think it's so ugly to see an 80 year old person whose arms are covered in tattoos that are now faded and mishaped due to sags and wrinkles. I don't believe anyone who is that old covered head to toe in meaningless tattoos that says they don't regret getting them.

I have a passion for both.
I love tattoo's because they represent you, and the ones I have are far from generic and represent things I have been through in my life.
But I also love piercings because they make you unique in a less permanent way.
I currently have my tragus pierced and I also have an industrial.
I had my labret pierced but I ended up taking it out because it interfered when I started racing my dirt bike again.

uhm.
i like both; however, there with piercings, it seems i dislike more of them. for example, i don't like eyebrow piercings, most ear piercings, bellybutton, etc. also, with piercing you can only have like rings, and studs, so in some sense, no piercing is totally unique.
tattoos on the other hand, can be generic, or they could be customized to express yourself.

so i'll have to say i favor tattoos, just a little bit more.

i like both and i have both but i think i like piercings better cause they aren't permanent, however , a tattoo shows who u are, unfortunately i can't think of something else that i would really want as a tattoo.

Preferably tattoos. To me it shows how appreciative you are to yourself. Although piercings are less painful.

Piercings because I can take them out when I wish.
I'm not ready for the commitment that a tattoo requires. Someday maybe, but not now. :)

They're both pretty cool. But, personal opinion, I'd say piercing. First, I just think they look cooler. But, in the long run, if you ever get sick of them you can just take them out and the hole will heal. I'd say get your piercing(s), but a little tatoo woulnd't hurt either.

I just pierce my ears and not tattoos because I can't stand pain. And it seem like a tattoo would be too much trouble to remove. My sister pierce my ears when I was young and my mother must've jump on her!!!! She was like who told you to pierce her ears, why did you do that and she's a minor.....
