I heard a girl describe her complexion as being alabaster. I need to know what it means and what colors compliment her.

alabaster is a very white color. it's comparable to the color of marble. on people, it usually has a pink undertone, and people who have alabaster skin have to be careful of what make up colors they wear. the best colors are sheer, light, warm pastels with pink or orange undertones. purples should be avoided so the skin doesn't appear blueish. light browns are good for eye color, and lipsticks work in light pinks (an easy trend to wear is bubblegum pink matte lipstick) or if you are daring, another fun trend with alabaster skin is bright red. On regular days though, tinted glosses are best and avoid excess eye make-up, it's better to go with shimmery tones.

Colors that compliment her have more to do with her eye color, hair color, and undertones in her skin than her actual skin color.

Extremely pale. Pastels will likely look good on her, unless she's also a red-head, in which case she'll look better in stronger/darker colors (like navy or hunter green). There'll be other colors that will look good, but they'll be hit and miss. If you're shopping for her, watch her for a week or so and see what colors she wears/likes/looks good in.
