Depends on what law, and what sin. Dietrich Bonhoeffer was a priest in Nazi Germany, and he broke the law to resist Nazi rule, he also went against the Church of the day that was cooperating with the Nazis. Basically, I don't think it's a simple yes or no question.

There is no law at all to even break in:
Ye are not under the law, but under grace.

As law, it is the source & strength of sin.
Romans 4:15; 5:13; 1Corinthians 15:56.

That's why I always pay the hooker. I might break the law but I don't cheat a woman. Doh! That's a sin too. Okay, I plead the fifth.

OK. How about this one for all the neo-con fundamentalists out there. Thou shalt not kill.

So I guess Christians should not join the military or police dept. because these jobs may require killing. Of course, I'm sure many will say I have misinterpreted this commandment..

And after all, isn't that the whole problem. Everybody can interpret the Bible differently to fit their lifestyle.

The only laws I respect are the laws of physics, and I do my best to defy them as often as possible.

can you be more specific? mans law? obviously not gods law, b/c then you would have one hell of a contradictive Q. if mans law, then i would say that a true christian would. laws can be made to hinder their destiny, as they were back in Roman days, so they broke a law in sort of irony.
