I live in Alabama and I go to Talladega. It's awesome. I got seats up high and I can see over the entire track but most of the accidents happen on the back stretch. I can see it when they wreck but it's hard to tell who and what happened. Like in the Busch race when Kyle Busch wrecked, I was by Turn 1 and he was by Turn 3 and I couldn't see that he was upside down and rolling. But they have a few huge screens that show the race, so I had to rely on them to see Turn 3.
Btw, the 3-4 wide racing, bumper to bumper at about 195 mph is just a big adrenaline rush. Watching it on tv and seeing it in person it two different views. It's kinda scary the 1st time you see it happening, but it's amazing how the drivers are great about sticking together like that without wrecking every single lap. The professional driver in them really shows then.

I used to hate restrictor plate racing till last year I went to Talladega and fell in love with restrictor plate racing. It is awesome.
No it is not hard to see; especially if you sit high up. I brought binoculars but rarely used them. The only part we could not see of the track was the lower half between turn 3 and 4 (which means we only saw the dust cloud when Jimmie and Junior got wrecked).
Just watching was awesome; but to enhance the experience rent scanners, bring binoculars for certain moments, bring a camera, and take losts of water. Talladega is awesome.

Restrictor plate tracks are great!! It will have you out of your seat the whole race(except under cautions). They are fun, loud and full of four wide racing. i'm sure you have seen them on TV, they are even cooler in person. I live in Daytona so I've only been to that track..infact I'm going next weekend. I really want to go to Talladega someday. You'll have a good time. You can see them pretty well. It depends on where you are sitting, but when they crash it is hard to tell who is in it. Just keep an eye on your favortie driver. Binoculars are not really needed because they have about four or five large screens around the infield, but you can bring them if you want to. Hope this helps..^_^

Restrictor plate racing is like no other track.Yes the packs are tight and there is little room for error. But there is a sense of speed that does not slow down from the green to the checkers.
Yes it is slow getting to speed but the action makes it worth it.
I go to 'dega every year for it.

lol i've not been to a super speedway yet but my dad has and he says sometimes its kinda "boring" when they're under green flag for a super long time. they have good crashes and what not...but it all depends on your mood i suppose that day.
