i just havent really felt like myself lately, for the past couple of months. sometimes im in a great mood, im happy and it will take A LOT to get me in a bad mood. and then sometimes i feel so depressed and the smallest things will piss me off for days...i never used to be this way...i dont know if it has to do with my age(im 14 years old) or if something is really wrong?

It's called being a teenager and going through puberty. It's in part due to hormones.

Who's your age knows exactly what you're going through and any other person who had a regular adolescence knows too. I suppose you go from feeling exhilarating to extremely annoyed.. Well to be honest I didn't like it much when people told me this when I was your age but it's an accurate true: it's all part of the growing up process and most of the times if you cool off a bit you'll realize you're probably overreacting a bit.. Focus on growing up right, doing the right thing, find your own balance.. Be a + sign in this world, your world! =)

It could be your hormones raging since you are going through puberty. (If it is only during your period, it could be PMDD. Talk to your doc about that.) If the symptoms are too severe to be hormones, It could be bipolar. You could talk to a doc or counselor. Even your mom!
