Hey guys, I've been looking for a semi auto rifle that can achieve a sub MOA. To make things even more difficult I live in CA. Anyways I've been looking at some Match M1A's but i wanted to hear some of other peoples opinions, Thanks!.

In response to JD's comment...

Actually M1As are prefectly legal in california. A couple of sporting good stores around my area sell them. You are allowed to have the following.... A) a detatchable mag limited to 10 rounds IF the weapon does not have a Pistol grip or thumbhole stock. If you have a pistol grip or thumbhole stock you have to have a fixed magazine. Your are not allowed folding stocks because all rifles are require to meet a certain length. You cannot have a bayonet lug and you are required to have a flash surpressor. Anyways thought i would "inform" you.

ruger now makes a mini-14 that's guaranteed to be moa from the factory. they have one with a laminated thumbhole stock, and one with a hogue overmolded stock.
i've seen new ones for a couple hundred under suggested retail.

I've been shooting an M1A Olympic Match for years.... The "PERFECT" semi-auto match rifle. You are living in the wrong state to be interested in an M1A.They are banned in California unless you owned one prior to the ban. They are a target rifle but are listed under the heading of "Assault Rifle" in the state of California! Sorry...

No such animule as fara as I know.

A Match Tuned M-1 Garand or a tuned Browning BAR- civilian not military comes closest.

It'll take $, but ruger makes a target addition of the mini-14 that is supposed to be really accurate.
