The art of runlikehell. Unless your Bruce Lee your not gonna take on multiple people. And win anyway. Whats to stop them from all tackling you and attacking you all at the same time.
Life is not like in the movies. They don't come at you one at a time.
I'm an amateur MMA fighter and i have been practice Martial Arts my whole life.I got jumped by four guys once, and did i win...NO. I almost died that night.
Anyone that claims to have fought more than like two guys, is as big of liar as Marlon on The Ultimate Fighter 5.

I would recommend Ed Parker Kempo Karate, mostly because their are techniques that are specifically designed for multiple attackers. I have trained in Ed Parkers American Kempo for 7 yrs and have recieved my black belt while I have never been 'jumped' by like 4 people and I have never even been in a situation where I have had to use my martial arts but, I am confident if I am to be put in a situation to where I have to use my training I would people able to hold my own no matter what the circumstance.

Ok, I don't like to repeat myself everytime I run into this question again and again so instead of advising you to just run, which is the most sensible and the most least stupid thing to do against multiple opponents, I'm gonna give you a different answer. Try a swordfighting art like Kendo, Iaido, Thai krabi krabong, Filipino Kali or even European Sabre fighting, because assuming they are all unarmed, a sword is probably the only thing that can equalize the the odds against multiple opponents besides a gun.

I've fought multiple punks myself and I found that you need to keep that head on a swivel, keep stickin, keep moving, never turn your back and definately never get taken down to the ground or you will get stomped, so any martial art that teaches you that stuff is good for multiple attakers like a kenpo, wing chun, kick or western boxing. The thing is though you have to fight backing up or moving laterally so I would recommend boxing and a good sprawl .

I have train in four main systems or ways : Aikido, Kali/Escrima, Bjj and mma(not really a style more of how to look at all martial arts but what the hay)
Of those Aikido is the better of them for multiple opponents. As far as I can say with truth and honesty AIKIDO

A striking style. Strikes finish more quickly than grappling moves. It is easier to stay on the move when striking & against multiple attackers you need to keep moving. Avoid a style that emphasizes getting in close for knees & elbows, that also takes longer. Against multiple attackers you want to keep moving & engage at long range as much as possible. I practice Tae Kwon Do & recommend it without reservation.

Aikido is the best out there to fight multiple attackers. That was one of the main reasons it was created by O'Sensei Before you make your 1st Black Belt you have to defend against 8 ppl and hold yuor own for at least 3 min. 2nd Black Belt 10 ppl for 2 min. 3rd Black 12 ppl. for 1 min. any more than 12 ppl at once you are askin the Aikido person to just start snappin joints

Simple rule to remember: If you can't fight ONE person, you can't fight TWO. Repeat this to yourself until that sinks in.

What kind of person seriously wants to believe that you can learn to fight 5 guys, but man, if they came at you one at a time you'd get beat up...? That doesn't make SENSE.

You need to learn to beat up one guy first. Anyone who tries to sell you this 'multiple attacker' stuff first is just trying to sell you something.

If you don't want to be on the ground, take boxing or muay thai, and go compete and get better. That means sweat, and pain, and hard damn work. Get started.
