2 Kings 2:22-24, because it's just so "out there". God sends two bears to maul some childen, for saying "Hey move it, baldy!" to some guy.
"From there Elisha went up to Bethel. As he was walking along the road, some youths came out of the town and jeered at him. "Go on up, you baldhead!" they said. "Go on up, you baldhead!" He turned around, looked at them and called down a curse on them in the name of the LORD. Then two bears came out of the woods and mauled forty-two of the youths."
The fig tree story is hilarious too. I just try picturing Jesus yelling at a dead tree, with the others watching him.

At present, there are several, just to name a few:
Joshua 1:9 Have I not commanded you to be strong & of good courage? Neither be afraid or dismayed for the Lord your God will be with you where ever you go.
Phillipians 1:6 He who has begun a good work in you, will be faithful to complete it.
Proverbs 3: 5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding, but in all your ways acknowledge Him & He will direct your path.
These verses are a comfort when going thru the valley.

1 Peter 5:7
"Cast all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you."
This is the verse that opened my heart to God's love. I have never felt alone, and I know how to have peace since hearing this.
Also...
Proverbs 4:23
"Above all else guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life".
I have a number of cardiac ailments, this verse reminds me to always protect my heart. And that not just diet and exercise, that is how I respond to situations, how I feel, whether I get angry or spiteful -- it all affects my heart and hence my life.m

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Knowledge is power.

Romans 8 :1"There is now therefore no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus and who walk not after the flesh , but after the Spirit."
God lets us know that He will be the judge and no man has the right to condem us,because we are made righteous through Him.

I love the 23rd Psalms because King David was exolting his faith in God, and had no fear of death in battling his enemies, and who were also enemies of God. David's flowing, poetic expressions of faith and comfort gives me added confidence in the greatness and love of God, even unto death.
