with all do respect, do you guys actually BELIEVE the bible is the ''word of god'' or whatever, or are you just trying to get a rise out of the rest of us?

Friend, just start reading it and do that every day and very soon you will have experience to change you and then come back and tell the rest of the folks what took place. I or others can tell you on and on yes it is the word of God, and yes we do believe, but you need to seek and see...if you don't know or need proof, then I tell you just read it, and do it every day until it happens, a chance to encounter the Master of the Universe is yours...be blessed!!!

2. the Bible is the oldest historical document on earth
3. the Bible tells of how people will judge and reject the fact that God exists
also, people don't like to know that there's someone out there that can end your life instantly. Yes, God is that powerful.

i truly believe the bible is true and that God is a real and living God...................i mean if u think about it how do u think we all came to live on the earth we had to have been created for a purpose ................and i can't believe the people that don't believe in a god at all or don't believe in a Heaven cause thier needs to be a purpose of us living here on this earth i mean what is the point of us even being born if we r just going to die and rott in the ground i mean it is stupid....................and even if i am WRONG there is no risk..............i mean it is better to believe and be right and go to heaven for eturnity then be WRONG and not believe and go to Hell

I'm sure they belive it, though I don't, if they feel strong about it, yes they do. I red into so mush, and found out things about it not mentioned in christian churches today (the gnostic text and other taken out or banished scriptures). I prefer to study religion on my own. I've also read the Bagavad-Gita & Koran. haven't gotten to the Torah yest, but will someday. I'm buddhist, but I do find interesting things in religious text of other cultures.

efiicetively the bible came about back in the days of jesus so yes i totally believe it is 100% gods word. I will always believe that.

Not only do I believe it, I live accordingly. I honestly don't care if you "get a rise" out of it or not. I'm here to answer questions about religion and spirituality ... not provoke others.

That is really rude. But I dont take offense to it becasue you said " with all do respect. " I really do believe that is bible is the word of God. There is proof. Just go to your nearest church and ask you preacher, misister, speacker,deacons or whoever runs it.
