i know there was reasons for it, but, it still wasn't cool and it was very hard for me to take. i just want to be sure that he does love and want to be with only me, hopefully forever!

well, i would expect him to be faithful, if he wants me to live with him and for me to marry him, and for me to be part of his family. i would expect that behavior from someone who's serious and wants to settle down.

Of course you want to be sure he loves you... what has he done in the past to prove it to you? What has he done in the past(was he faithful to you in the past)? Think about this, when you wonder what he's going to do in the future.

Your current feelings of insecurity and lack of trust in him is perfectly understandable. An affair has the potential to not only destroy the relationship, but also play havoc with our psyche. You need to have a very open ,honest," no-holds barred" conversation with your boyfriend. It should start with a true heart-felt apology even if he has already given one. Next is a complete explanation of his reasons for cheating. That means the whole truth even if it hurts you or shatters your perception of the nature and viability of what you have going. He should also answer any and all questions you ask until you are satisfied. If he truly loves you he would not mind them , he will welcome them;as only the whole truth will help you guys survive this difficult period and move on to build a better and stronger togetherness.Mu thoughts and prayers are with the both of you.Let me know how things work out.

It's okay to feel hurt over someone cheating on you. I can't force my beliefs on you , but I agree with the above poster that you should think about whether this is the person that you want to be with. They often say "once a cheater, always a cheater."
