Jesus has already made the ultimate blood sacrifice. That "shedding of His blood" made the blood sacrifice of the old testament no longer necessary.

Christ is explaining the meaning of the Lord's prayer contained in the five verses preceding the ones that you quote. Here Jesus emphasizes that the Christian must be ready and willing to forgive the offenses of others. If he does not forgive a repeating offender, God will not forgive him, and his prayers will be to no avail. This is an all-important principle by which God forgives sin.
As for no blood being required, Jesus made the final blood sacrifice when He died on the cross. He already knew that He would make this sacrifice, for that is exactly what He came for. He paid the price for all. Every sin ever commited, and every sin that will ever be commited.

Matthew 6: 14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: Matthew 6: 15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
The Lord Jesus Christ was on earth offering the kingdom to Israel. This is before He died for the sins of the world. These people He is talking to in Matthew Chapter 6 are people that have already made there scarifies for the year. Today in the age of grace, if we have believed and trusted in what the Lord Jesus Christ did on the cross for our sins we should forgive others as Christ has forgiven us. But our forgivens does not depend on what we do but on what He did for us. Ephesians 4:32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.

The verses in Matthew 6:14-15 are talking about forgiveness between one man and another who are born again. God is not the Father of people that are not born again.
Hebrews is speaking of God cleansing people from their sins. To put this into context: If we do not forgive others then the blood sacrifice will do us no good and we shall not be forgiven.

The idea of blood sacrifice goes way back in time, to a time that man's consciousness was dim and he perceived only what was himself and not himself. There were forces of nature he could not understand or control and he thought himself inferior to these forces, and the forces superior. He called them gods and thought they were angry and to sacrifice children, maidens and animals to appease their anger. This was put in the Gospel of John to attract the mystery cults of the day that still believed in blood sacrifice. You would think if it was so important, as the one verse in John seems to be the basis for most fundamental Christian religion, that it would be a them all throughout the book, and included in all the gospels...which were written according to...Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. If they were all literally true they should not differ. That people still believe this today is beyond my conception, it is a primitive belief, but then, were just a step up from the apes anyway. In Uganda they still sacrifice children to the gods, cut their head and throat with a machetti, cut off their male organs..and how does this belief back up what they are doing, which I am sure no one would agree it is anything but horrible.

Matthew 6:14, 15 was addressed to the disciples... people who were already 'believers'. Yes, shedding of blood is required for the one-time, once for all satisfaction of the sin debt which we owe God. I would say, then, that according to these verses in Matthew, that if a 'believer' does not forgive sins against him by another person, that God will be displeased with the 'believer' and the fellowship which the believer enjoys with God his savior, will be hindered. A Christian can build a wall of unconfessed and unforsaken sin between himself and God. Although he will not lose his salvation, he will lose his sweet fellowship with the Lord.

Simple. Jesus shed His precious blood for ALL SIN, NOW, AND IN THE FUTURE.Therefore, there needs to be no more sacrifice!! Jesus was the ultimate sacrifice, and He covered it all!!
What Matt 6:14,15 is saying is that if you don't forgive others, God does not forgive you. BEFORE Jesus, there had to be blood sacrifice of animals for the remission of sin.

Jesus had to die on the Cross for the remission of sin, that was the blood shed, and the only one that could have ever did so for the remission of sin, the verse you mention hass nothing to do with your blood but rather the blood of Christ. You can forgive, only God can remove sin.

Lori is right. Jesus' blood was the very last blood sscrifice needed of man. That is why we dont need to sacrifice goatss, sheep, cows, etc in exchange for forgiveness. Now, beacuse of him, all we need to do is believe and follow the commandments. Jesus eliminated many other old traditions also.

Jesus became the bleeding "sacrificial lamb" for ALL man's sin when he preached and died on this world. No other sacrifice has to be made. To say anything else is necessary other than repentance and moving forward is to say it was all for nothing. To deny what Jesus did for us is a sin.
God bless
