I just got a grill and was wondering if anyone know of some inexpensive alcoholic marinades that go great on chicken.

To sum up the answers so far "i don't know." That beer can chicken by the way is not a marinade, that is a way of cooking it. A marinade is what you soak the meat in overnight before cooking it.

HONEY TERIYAKI SAUCE
With sesame seeds suspended in a rich glaze of brown sugar, soy sauce and mild spices, this savory blend clings to meats and stir-fry vegetables. Serve on spare ribs, chicken or burgers to add a taste of Asia to all your favorite foods.

here is one of my favorite recipes

Orange Honey Teriyaki Chicken
Ingredients
1/3 cup Honey Teriyaki Sauce
1/2 cup frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

Directions
Combine first 2 ingredients. Place chicken breasts in resealable plastic bag; pour in marinade. Refrigerate 30 minutes. Drain chicken, reserving marinade. Bring reserved marinade to boil; cook 2 minutes. Grill chicken over medium heat for 15 minutes until done; baste with reserved marinade. Makes 4 servings.

You won't find anything better than "beer can chicken".....Take a whole chicken & remove innards, then rinse well. Sprinkle with your favorite dry rub. Take an 8oz can of your favorite beer & drink or drain off about 1/3 of the can. Punch a couple of extra holes into the top, then insert can into bottom of chicken & place over hot coals. Grill til juices run clear - about and hour. If top starts to brown too quickly, make a tent of foil & place over the top to cover........Serve with mashed potatoes or potato salad, green peas or baked beans & a good texas toast........first time I had it was on the infield @ Talledega & it was awesome!!

Well, our family favorite is simply marinading the chicken in italian dressing, but you could also use a combination of white wine and olive oli with some minced garlic, crushed black pepper and other herbs and spices to taste.

Many restaurants serve a tequila lime chicken entree. Personally, my favorite is beer and BBQ Sauce. Just pop the top on an ice, cold longneck and sip on it while your brushing the sauce on the chicken.

I typically do not marinate chicken in alcohol.

here are a few options. (put it a plastic bag)

1) a good salid dressing that you like

2) Olive oil and any herbs you like

3) A good quality mustard!

have fun

Mojito...don't know that you need the alcohol, though.
Lime juice, garlic, mint, I guess you could add some Rum, and everything needs black pepper and maybe a dash of salt.
