In January I found my wife with another man, since then we've been seperated and are indeed getting a divorce. I've been kind of moping around these past few months, but I've found a woman I really care about and do want to be in a relationship but I'm afraid of getting hurt again. I really think we could have something. My question is, should I go for her or is it too soon?

In my opinion I think it is too soon. Let the sting of the divorce settle before you get into another long-term relationship or marriage. If you dig this woman you are currently dating then that is fine. Date her and enjoy her company, but approach it with kid gloves. You are still on the rebound and could be opening yourself a little too soon.

I think you shouldn't let your cheating wife get in the way of you be happy. I think it's a good sign that you think you can have something with this new lady. It means that your willing to at least put your self out there and try.Obviously this new lady understands what your going through and wants to be there either way. I'm not suggesting you jump into another marriage, take your time so you don't get hurt.

Don't go out wanting to start a relationship. Go out wanting to make new friends.

How long were you with your wife? Ten years. Then half it. You need 5 years to get over the damage your marriage did to you.

Just me. Go out there wanting to have fun. Join a gym. Join a footy team. Go to the club/pub on wednesday nights and join the poker club. Do things that you enjoy. If you meet someone doing something you are interested in then you both will share that interest.

It will be a great place to start a relationship.

It might be too soon to start anything.
But if you feel you're ready then go for it.
All of us are scared of getting hurt, even if we haven't gotten hurt before.
Doesn't allow us to block ourselves from being happy.
If she makes you happy, go for it.
G'luck sweetie.
