i have so many great marinades, i am befuddled as to which to give you. i am on a southwestern kick now, so i shall give you a killer marinade from my S.W. American regional collection.
1 can chipotle peppers
1 cup lime juice
2 tblspoons cumin
1/2 cup chili powder
1/2 cup adobo seasoning
1 cup brown sugar
i cup peanut oil
i cup fresh minced cilantro
3 shots tequila
blend this in your blender for 3 minutes and let your steaks marinate for an hour or so. you may also brush them with it as they cook. i would use mesquite chips on the grill as you cook them for an authentic southwestern flair. you will be amazed!!!

We only use charcoal & love to grill a nice thick cut rib-eye every week or so......Just take & lightly sprinkle both sides with a little Montreal Steak Seasoning & let sit at room temp for about 20 minutes before placeing over medium/hot coals.....I like to serve with tossed salad fresh from the garden & grilled corn on the cob.......Yummy!!

here are the easiest marinades that I have used .One is italian dressing . just let the steak stay over night in a storage bag with about a cup of italian dressing. then grill
you don't have to let it stay that long.
also i like to mix a little melted butter with worchestershire sauce. let the steak sit in this for a little while, then throw on the grill or even under the broiler in the oven.

Easy, crushed garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, black pepper, and a little kosher salt.
If it's good steak, you'll still get the great flavor of the meat, if it's not so good, it improves the flavor.

Truthfully, I wouldn't marinate beef, but I do use dry seasonings. Lawrys is always good for beef but usually if I season at all it is with just a small sprinkle of garlic powder.

This is a glaze, works on chicken, bacon, fish, beef, etc. Brush on real maple syrup, not the imitation stuff. Then put salt and pepper on. I haven't had anyone who didn't like it, it's addictive.
