Ok, in two days I'm leaving to Florida, and I was just wondering how long will it take me to tan on the florida beach?? I have fair skin, and I really need a tan! And if I apply tanning oil (spf 8), will that burn me?? Thanx! :)

Darling take my advice and WEAR SUNSCREEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You will still get tan TRUST ME!!! But it is HOT HOT HOT here!!!! I get darker everytime I go t o the beach even for less than an hour and I use SPF 50. If you don't use some good sunscreen you'll be hurting your first night here.

Show us all that you have the brains to go with your good looks and DON'T TAN. The dermatologist has started to remove chunks of my skin, because of my spring break sun worship performed in my younger years. Get a spray tan, then wear a sunscreen gel (not lotion) to protect you. You'll fry in Florida with SPF 8 oil. Neutragena has a widely distributed gel and spray screens that come in silver-blue packaging. I think they also make a spray tan.

the Florida sun will burn you if you are only wearing spf 8... you are very fair....you need at least spf 15..... and reapply liberally...often.....

frankly i would get an spf of 50 and stay pale but skin cancer free..... still have to apply it regularly......

It would be in your favor to get out in the sun for an hour for the next 2 days. The Florida sun will cook you in no time.

i live in Florida. am outside quite a lot. i'm pale as can be. it's the joy of being fair skinned. i'd personally wear sunblock and hope for the best.
