Heard on the news it may go up to $5.a gal,because their using corn to make ethenol.What about children that need the milk,how can parents afford it?

It is really a shame & I truley feel sorry for families that have children & only make minimum wages. I recall back in the day when people used powdered milk. I am sure people will be using it more again!!

Yup, that was exactly the reason. The demand for corn just went up substantially because of the flex fuel.
It costs farmers more to feed their animals. In addition to the milk, you'll find meat prices are going to rise because of this as well.

Yes I heard that its going to keep going up! This is a shame I really don't know how people can afford this on top of everything else that keeps going up! There will be a lot of children going with out! I pray for things to get better!

cowser stomping their hooves & picketing fer cost of living,,watch the 5 or 6 corporate entities & agricorps make commercials costing 500 million bucks to persuade us how beneficial milk is fer growin kids,,,,,while doing nothing about the price,con agra could buy good quality corn from mejico,payem a just price,keep us supplied with moo juice,,,,they could also buy grass instead of corn,,,,,mean the reglar grass folks

Feed for cows is also more expensive and this higher cost gets passed along to the consumer.

The whole ethanol matter is ill-considered. I'm all for alternative energy programs, but we can't be growing corn coast to coast and think that will make us the Saudi Arabia of ethanol.

This is the government we r talking about. They can screw us all they want. They have to make up the gas money some how. They would rather see our kids hungry.
