It depends on how serious the difference of opinion is (is it something really important, like philosophical difference, or minor - like food tastes or movies?) If you two don't have much or anything in common, or you have just grown apart, it's time to move on. You don't have to be mean or rude, or have a major falling-out. Just drift apart, and stop hanging out with her. Or perhaps there's some underlying tension that you need to get out in the open first...like she hurt you somehow, or did something really bad that you can't get over (or vice-versa).

Allowing friendship to trump differences is a sign of personal growth. I'd strill be friends with someone I disagreed with someone... er, I take that back, I AM friends with those people. The two friends that I'm closest to, I disagree with vehemently on many issues, and we're still great friends.
If it really annoys you that much, why don't you drop the issue and talk about something else?

People disagree, it's inevitable but you need to move on if it's becoming personal, e.i. they disagree with you because they have a low opinion of you, not because it's not what they believe. If you find it annoting, you need to talk to her
